  1. Try Independant Brokers in Chicago. They are just about the cheapest for futures contracts,which I trade. Only 1 to 2 dollars a contract each way.
  2. I like and have used for the last 5 years 'Ensign' charting software. It is a good charting package and only around 40$ a month. It is compatible with many data feeds.You can also get a free trial with it.
  3. 'New Frontiers in Fibonacci Trading' by Michael jardine is a very good book. Well worth reading it should help. It did for me.
  4. Don't Spread bet. you are better to trade the index futures market. With spreadbetting you are trading at broker prices, which make it virtually impossible to make a consistant profit. With futures trading you are trading in the market at true market prices. A good chap to read on trading is Michael jardine you can see him at Enthios.com. There is some good free tuff on there.
