I really need to work on the management side of things, so many times 10 ticks profit and reverse for a 10 tick loss. But as you say if strangled you'll stop out on good trades all the time. Thanks for the idea. Cheers

Hi Thales, thanks for that. I didnt consider the impulse so much as the pattern forming! I your previous post you mention moving the stop to BE once 5 or so ticks in profit and I've been wanting to ask about this. How quickly do you move to BE once the trade is triggered? I can understand logical chart stop placement but not sure on after entry... Cheers Russell

Was thinking of a short here but looks dangerous, Is that considered a break point up? Where the break down point would be?

I agree, I was looking for just a little test lower but over all 1.6350 1.6400 looks interesting to me, just 2 cents

The last bar closed on the high which i like for higher prices but with resistance so close Id think of buying a retest of the second to last bars low or selling a a break of the low. Over all i favour higher prices. Just my 2 cents.. thanks

I agree, if you cant trade hen dont go live or stop if your having a bad day. I didnt take it badly, im here for as much help as i can get. Any advise is very appreciated. Short short lived.. Stopped -15

I hated yesterday, the worst trading ever. Faked out so many times. I get very confused during these sessions. Short now at 1.6033

I took a short at 1.6328 and closed at 1.6314. I closed due to moving averages in that area and a 15 minute low.. I thought sideways.. never thought this would sell off this much though there always is the chance. I seem to hold on for this kind of move but more often that not (all the time) get stopped out for BE or a small loss... 1 lot on, so i closed.. thats my thinking anyway. Thanks for the profit target info... still reading through the thread.. Congrats on a great trade! Oh I took the short on a retrace of the red candle (little double top, failed to make a new high on the second attempt) I actually took a break of that candle but got stopped and reentered. These are demo trades only.

Nice trade, I took the short however closed out way too early. Normal for me. How are your profit targets set if you dont mind me asking?

Staying out of the market is a huge problem for me, so simple is better. At the moment im doing exactly that, sifting through everything I've looked at and simplifying, cutting... focusing down.. This is a really awesome thread by the way guys, thanks for the feed back!

Yeah, i understand where your coming from. I usually watch 15 and 89 min along with Daily. 5 minute to refine entries.. I think its a complete lack of a decent trading plan with rules for set ups clearly defined. Hence i take everything i see. Im looking into your posts as the H,L, LH looks interesting.. along with a few other posts... Cheers

I see that, it is clear as day for sure, its really while that range is forming it kills me. Im looking more into Thales method in some of the posts. Its frustrating me that i cant stay out of that chop.. ahh them demons.. Thanks for your help btw
