Session / Signal Time Code for Bull Trap Indicator
in Coding Forum
Posted
Hello,
I'm trying to code the following: Chart attached details exactly what I'm trying to capture.
1) If a current bar has a high higher than any bar from the start of today's session (18:00 EST) AND a close that is below the high from today's session (excluding this current bar setting the new high), plot a Bull Trap signal. What is the code for setting specific session times for the indicator?
When I change below code to HighD(0) to try to plot a break of current session's high, I don't get anything back..
As a test to see if anything would plot, I tried previous day's high; but my session times are not correct, as you see from the chart.
2) If the high today breaks previous day high but closes below, plot PDH Bull Trap. (I dont know how to get my session times to reflect starting at 18:00 EST to start a day's high. It calculates from midnight..)
Does anybody have an idea of how to code this properly? Below is my code for just having High > HighD(1)
If High > HighD(1)
then
begin
Plot1(High[0], "Bull Trap");
Value1= Text_New(Date, Time, High[1]+20,"Bull"+Newline+"Trap");
Text_SetColor(Value1, Red);
Alert;
end
else
NoPlot(1);{remove the market}
Value2 = HighD(1);
Plot2(Value2, "PDH");
