Interesting. Funnily enough it's almost the same amount that our erstwhile leader (Gordon "goldfinger" Brown) sold when he was chancellor of the exchequer. The big difference was he managed to sell when it was at a record low <doh>.

That works out to $846/ounce.

I guess then they are confident that this selling will not cause much deviation from the most recent price range.
