USDCAD Futures NOv 18

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am a newbie studying VSA and have read Eiger's Pure VSA post so I am familiar with the basic rules and terms (at least I think I am).

I'm quite confused with today's price action and would love some guidance from fellow VSA'ers.

I've attached a pdf file of the action today. It's a pdf file which I don't know if it's the best file type for people to read. Let me know if it isn't and I'll try to get it into another format. This is my first post so I'm still trying to get the hang of posting graph. The time in the chart is EST.

I'm most confused about the price action between 9 and 11. The cluster of big volume around the 9:30 to 10:30 mark has me dunno what to make of it.

To me, it seems to me there's a lot of demand starting at 9:30 with the big volume and closes off the low in those down bars. But it did not go up that much except for the weak attempt at 10:45. Seems to me, there was a lot of battle between the demand and supply in the 930-1030 period but the result was not much of anything.

Any comments about the background and possible long/short entries would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks.

For what it is worth, volume on currency futures isn't really representative of volume on the currency. Superimposing corn futures volume on a CD futures chart will make as much sense as the CD futures volume does for VSA purposes. Sorry

Yes I understand that. But let's say I'm trading the currency futures. I just want to know what how other VSA'ers are interpreting the price action of it.
