MACD Difference As a Percent?

I would like to know if there is a way to determine the % difference between the MACD and the MACD Signal line and return this as a value in %.

The reason to do this, would be for a indicator...

I was looking at using the formula:
(histogram / MACD) * 100 = Percent Difference.

Does anyone see any issue/problems in doing this?

The end result I am trying to accomplish, is to use the MACD and only to give signals if the percent difference (between the MACD and the MACD Signal line) are at a certain %.

Re: MACD Difference As a Percent?

I guess the first question would be:

Do you even know what exactly the MACD is measuring in the first place?
