Trading for Non-Resident Indians

from InteractiveBrokers:

Quote:
Trading for Non-Resident Indians

Last quarter, we introduced trading of options and futures products on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) for residents of India. This quarter we have added support for stock trading on the NSE, and have expanded India trading to include Non-resident Indians (NRI) as well as Indian residents. To trade Indian products as a non-resident, you must open an account through the IB India Pvt Ltd. site, and you must qualify for NRI status.

More opportunities in this global market !

I saw that in the IB communique - great news, especially for traders in the Asian timezones

How would one qualified to be a Non-resident Indian? Would this do?

Re: Trading for Non-Resident Indians

I hope our Indian friends can keep up posted on the their front.
I know big things are happening there, but we don't read about them on CNN.

I saw that movie too. And it can be a very good example for an NRI.
