I do approx 2 times the spread from the price I want to execute in. I don't bother with the 1 tick part - just level +2 times spread. With kind regards, MK

Sometimes I get a much better fill on a limit if price doesn't immediately rocket to the moon. Last edited by forrestang; 12-03-2009 at 05:54 PM.

![]() | Re: Reading Charts in Real Time spread/2 is based on the maximum acceptable spread for a fill. So the spread on GU normally runs from 5 to 6 half ticks (or 2.5 to 3 standard ticks) and I set my max acceptable spread to 3 ticks thus I get price +2 ticks as the fill point.

EJ short triggered with a 132.73 entry. No excuse for anyone here not to be in this (this particular opportunity was posted at least an hour or more ago) and be in it right now with a stop loss at break even. Why break even? Because the short triggered, price dropped, rallied back to kiss the breakdown point good bye, and dropped to a new low. Allow price no more free kisses. Targets are +50 and +100. You'll have to look up the 15 minute yourself or someone can post it. I'm wiped out as it is and my wife still expects me to eat something before I go back to bed. Best Wishes, Thales
