I am starting a new thread to have everyone here share their experiences about repainting from some of the signals of their indicators. Would the members of the forum be kind enough to attach some pictures of how their indicator gave a signal only to have it disappear after they entered a wrong trade causing some unpleasant surprises and lack of confidence in their system. I hope this thread will benefit all of us.

How can we avaoid this kind of problem in programming tradestation , Metatrader4 and eSignal?

I'm not sure about what U want

Could U post pix please ?

Is it about that ? = >

If the ShowMe/PaintBar study condition becomes true during the bar, but is not true at the end of the bar, the mark is removed.

Example

The following ShowMe study marks the low of a gap down bar, but removes the mark if the condition is no longer true for the bar:

If High < Low of 1 Bar Ago Then
Plot1(Low, "GapDown")
Else
NoPlot(1) ;

Additional Example

If you wanted to mark the high of a bar when the condition Close > Close[1] is true, but remove the mark if Close > Close[1] is not true for the next bar, you could use the following syntax:

If Close > Close[1] Then
Plot1(High, "CloseUp")
Else
NoPlot(1);

Re: Repainting

Thanks for your advice on tradestation. Do you have any suggestions for eSignal?
