Half Gap


description:
this indicator would draw a line half way between previous day's close
and today's 1st bar open
e.g.
gap up opening: prev close = 100, today's open = 102
a line will be drawn at the half way point 101

gap down opening: prev close = 100, today's open = 98
a line will be drawn at the half way point 99

if the day's open is the same as previous close,
a line will be drawn at the previous close

This indicator was written in MultiCharts
I have not tested it in tradestation or other EasyLanguage compatible programs

Thanks, I saw the reference on TOS. I also use tradestation. I assume that there is no strategy for that in TS? Is MultiCharts free, I have never used them? Just Meta, Ninja and TS and TOS.

Hey Tams,

Thx for this great looking indicator....would like to use it....but, tried to load into TS, from the "pla" above. TS would not load it, & was kicked to a 'search the internet' window. So, then did a 'copy/paste', to create a new ELD.....after pasted it, hit the F3 to 'verify'.....came back with "6 errors"....so would not load....

So, do you or anyone have a version that does load?? Any help would be appreciated, if it can be done. Thx ahead of time.

why are you telling me you have errors, but don't copy/paste the error messages?
if i have a crystal ball... i will tell you how to solve all the 6 errors you have.

which code did you use?
try the updated one in post #12.
