AUDUSD Discussions

Now that AUD/USD has fallen below 80 cents and below the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of the 2008 to 2012 rally, the next stop for the currency pair should be the 2007 swing low of 0.7675. As long as AUD/USD remains below 0.8050, the downtrend remains intact.

Yes, on the long term. But on the monthly you see it is retesting SMa200, we are nearly at the end of the month, and that candle looks more and more as a hammer.

Then on the H4 we just broke a range resistance, even though the pair failed to cross the SMA200. SO yes I remain bearish long term, but I think we may first do a little consolidation (to ,8 ? to the 61,8 fib?)

Economists warn on Reserve Bank of Australia rate cut expectations

Barclays chief economist Kieran Davies brought forward his rate cut forecast from May to April, citing the Australian dollar's failure to fall as dramatically as the iron ore price.

While RBA governor Glenn Stevens has previously put fair value for the Aussie dollar at around 75 US cents, it was probably even lower now that iron ore prices had deteriorated further, he said.

"With commodities slumping again and the currency only partly reflecting that, you've got a gap opening up again between the currency and the terms of trade and I think that's been a persistent source of frustration for the RBA," Mr Davies said.

EURUSD: The pair looks to weaken further as it holds on to its downside pressure. On the upside, resistance comes in at 1.1600 level with a cut through here opening the door for more upside towards the 1.1650 level. Further up, resistance lies at the 1.1700 level where a break will expose the 1.1750 level. Conversely, support lies at the 1.1500 level where a violation will aim at the 1.1450 level. A break of here will aim at the 1.1400 level. Below here will open the door for more weakness towards the 1.1350. All in all, EURUSD faces further downside pressure

I have been trying alot of different ones but cant seem to find one that benefits me and its the most frustrating thing.

Hello, I wish to get into trading(maybe day trading).  But my question is what should I focus on learning, stocks(btw I know about the $25000 limit but I don't know if I am going trade that many times a week) or Forex, atm I plan to start with 500-1000$. My background would be that I have taken an economics class in which one part was stocking as we had to play a stock market game for around 3 months. Also if you are wondering I don't plan to start real trading for at least a few months(I Plan to practice with demo accounts first and find a profitable strategy first). Thanks for the help!

    • GBPJPY: Bullish, Set To Close In On The 150.00 Area GBPJPY: The cross rallied strongly on Thursday opening the door for more price gain in the days ahead. On the downside, support comes in at the 149.00 level where a violation will aim at the 148.50 level. A break below here will target the 148.00 level followed by the 147.50 level. Conversely, resistance is seen at the 149.50 level followed by the 150.00 level. A cut through that level will set the stage for a move further higher towards the 150.50 level. Further out, resistance resides at the 151.50 level. Its daily RSI is pointing higher suggesting further upside pressure. All in all, GBPJPY faces further upside pressure.

    • Good News!! The Eu destructiion project is underway. And here in the UK, the remainers continue to demand a second referendum... which they wont get. What could be nicer than watching the traitors getting the opposite of what they want? And their best argument is that we were too dumb to know what we were voting for. An insult from the people who believe 2+2=5

    • Advice for beginners omg       First "invest" trade a little with real money and see whats your results are, then learn, learn and learn what trading methods are appropriate to you, then when you know what you need to work on then start paper trading / structured practice sessions  ... and btw, you're likely better off never seeking 'confidence'.  Most traders do not need to "establish your confidence".  ie For most traders, confidence leads to mistakes in risk.   Generally speaking, any 'confidence' applied before having traded for ~ 5 years is wasted and costly... If you do need 'confidence' and don't have any , then use what courage you have ...
