What is Your Maximum Profits in One Trade ?

Recommended Posts

I wonder how can you make in a single trade. I am not a big trader and don't trade with millions of dollars still I was able to make a a good amount in a single trade.

It was 2 years back and I cannot forget that morning when I traded hangseng index and I got a profit of 4800 $ ( 480 pips )in a single trade and it was just in couple of minutes after HSI Index got opened. It was no doubt a big risk and it can be on either way but I won that trade.

I think talking $$$ made is not as good as % on account. right? only makes sense, i could make a million trading with a billion, that is still the same as making 0.1% on a trade.

All that said... biggest $ ever... five figures, stupid risk. Biggest loss ever, also five figures..:haha::doh:

Losses like that are humility trades, and thankfully (and mindfully) behind me. On a percent return level - i see 2% - 20% on a single trade (i scale in, risking 0.25% per entry, up to maximum heat of 2%, trail out)

It was long time ago. From the beginning i like to trade for long time basis like 5hr or one day. I forget the date but one day i opened a day long trade and i made $2400. I like to mention that it was a risky one because the volume of lots were high.

    • True. I can't say how much money I lost over the years on crappy signal providers. Take as much time as necessary googling on any one before spending your money there.

    • Yes, AMP is a good and reliable broker. Almost all FCM brokers and their IBs provide a similar service (the main difference is commission per side or per round, min deposit. Also, margin requirements, but commonly they are similar) Quantower platform allows to trade futures with AMP via Rithmic technology with full market depth data (!)
