before.....after......

Hi Obsidian,

If you feel like sharing . . . How long ago was "after"? Have you ever felt any inclination to return to "before"? And is that an Ichimoku Cloud on the right hand chart?

Hi BlueHorseshoe,

I used "before" for 2 years I guess. I was using that template to trade gbp/usd. It was ok but not accurate as much as I wanted. it was generating signals against the main trend so I started searching for something more simple. Because I also wanted to trade other pairs instead of focusing only one (it is pretty boring to trade only one pair when it goes flat). Then I switched to ichimoku as you see on the "after" chart.

I like the "before" chart :)

I think the point of the before/after was to show that the after chart with only 1-2 indicators was pointing out nearly the exact same thing that before chart with several seemingly elaborate indicators. But that's the whole point of an illusion: To distract your attention away from the real goal....usually that is looking for profitable setups. With the before chart, someone can really think "wow, these indicators are really leading us somewhere". But the after chart is drawing the same conclusions, but cheaper and less cluttered. That's what I gathered anyway.

Exactly!

That's why I "liked" it, because it is so cluttered. Guess a lot of new traders have similar charts (I did too).

I didn't even see that it is the same price action... lol :)
