Looking for a Trading Buddy

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!!

Read many threads but this is my first thread in Traders Laboratory.

I have been trading for about 9 years in shares. Currently looking for a trading buddy/mentor with similar experience or market understanding and commitment to improve trading, so we can share and learn from each other. (Please refer to my profile for details my trading style).

I live in Sydney and love the opportunity to meet similar minds in person or via email/skype.

Cheers

Multiple Time Frame Price Action - Provides powerful reversal trade set-ups that are high probability and low stop loss risk entries. The Multiple Time Frame Price Action Indicator is the key to powerful reversal trade set-ups. These trades have a high reward probability while using a low stop-loss risk. You may have heard you cannot pick market tops and bottoms. If you are trying to pick market tops and bottoms by looking at a one single time frame chart this would be true. But if you are using the Multiple Time Frame (MTF) Price Action Indicator you can find and make these powerful reversal trades.

Manohar,

Dude, no offense. I might post in the beginner's forum. Doesn't mean I am a newbie...

Focus on trading bottom & tops???... well surprise surprise, I got a tip for you, learn to read bar chart and understand price action...

I got books about chart patterns and stats about them. I don't really use them anymore but if you truly understand probability in trading you wouldn't just limit yourself to a few patterns.

You don't need to mess around with Multi Time Frame to trade a stock or future profitably .... you can do just fine looking at ONE time frame, providing you have a sound technique.

Best of luck with your trade

Thanks Siuya!

Read through quite a bit of his blog just now, definitely a worthwhile blog!!

Your friend is very familiar with chart pattern trade setups. Looks like he is very consistent with his entry and stops. Good for him!!

Cheers

Hi Mathew! Great idea to assign a thread to this topic.

I am in the same situation and where I not this far I would try to meet you. I really think one needs to trade besides a buddy from time to time, share ideas and help each other progress. I'll be happy to do that with any...buddy living here in Europe.

One precision if I may : I am not in search of a person to teach me the bottoms and the tops, a guru or a system, as I have been doing just that for 5 years now. I am already in a trading room. Just need some thing less virtual: a living and breathing trading mate.

Hey TheRumpledOne

Thanks for the invite, I am in a different timezone so I focus on stocks primarily.

Saw some of your threads, particularly 'Never Lose Again!!' Looks like you got some petition going there!! To some extent your point is correct, I do agree that part of profitable trading especially in FX, is about getting in at a (favorable) entry point then using stops correctly. I do the same when i trade indices. I won't say it is easy, but things can be that simple, people just need to do it consistently.

Just a quick question, it seems like some of your indicator's trigger is similar or based on the concept of Heikin-Ashi? Correct me if I am wrong.

Hello buddies!

Search still on the agenda. In the 2 years passed I have gained some more experience in the field of trade management and psychology, as well as the probabilistic nature of the game.

I am now more interested in discussing trading with the DOM, T&S, Profiles, Delta etc. Mainly currencies and futures.

Wall Street climbed, led by tech and especially the Magnificent 7 — all cohorts rallied, even Tesla which broke a 7-session losing streak even as its earnings news was awaited. The CPI rose to 3.6% y/y VS 3.5% estimate, while core CPI rose 4%, also higher than forecast and well above the RBA’s 2-3% target. Japan: Strong warning for intervention by officials. NEW YORK (AP) — The Biden administration has finalized a new rule set to make millions more salaried workers eligible for overtime pay in the US. Financial Markets Performance:   The USDIndex slumped, falling to 105.39 largely on profit taking and as haven demand faded. USDJPY flirts with 155 after FM Suzuki issued the strongest warning to date on the chance of intervention, saying last week’s meeting with US and South Korean counterparts had laid the groundwork for Tokyo to act against excessive Yen moves. AUDUSD up for a 3rd day in a row, to 0.6528 amid a broadly weaker USD but also a strong Aussie post a hot inflation print. USOIL steady at $83 ahead of sanctions against Iran and shrinking US Inventories. Gold closed slightly lower at $2332, but off yesterday’s $2289 nadir. Market Trends:   The NASDAQ increased 1.59%, with the S&P500 up 1.20%, while the Dow rallied 0.69%. Dissipating geopolitical risks also supported. EU stock futures are posting gains, after a largely stronger close across Asia. Nikkei and Hang Seng gained more than 2% amid a strengthening tech rally. Australian shares underperformed. Tesla Inc. (+13.33% after hours) spiked after its statement for the launch of more affordable vehicles despite a sales miss. The stock halted a 7-day plunge, climbing alongside other members of the group. Microsoft Corp., Meta Platforms Inc. and Alphabet Inc. are also due to report earnings this week.
