Interactive Brokers - TWS.exe

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Something is happening with the TWS installation.

I've just installed all my software on my new SSD drive, installed the latest java version and then installed the latest TWS version.

As far as I know all went fine with the installation until I clicked at the .exe icon.

This is the response that I'm receiving, Windows is searching for javaw.exe. To locate the file yourself click browse.

After a while say the shortcut has been moved and found a match, asking if I want to fix it. I say yes and it gives the following error: Could not find the main class: jclient/loginframe.

What the hell is happening?

I've installed the java a couple of more times, installed also TWS several times, but I'm always receiving this error.

Any ideas?

Regards

Hi, had the same problem with the javaw.exe. I think you have the 64-bit windows. Go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and copy javaw.exe to C:\Windows\System32. That's it. This solution fixed it for me.

I had no problem with your other error: could not find the main class: jclient/loginframe. So here I can't help.

Hope it helps

This may happen if you are using win7, if this is the case google "tws win7" and you will find the change in the command line

Thank you for the tip.
