I Need Streaming Charts!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I use optionsxpress for their streaming charts and I always have problems with the charts. I love the charts but they freeze up on me too much.

Does anyone know where i can get access to streaming charts for a low price that have advanced features like optionsxpress?

Thanks in Advance

This probably depends a bit -- are you willing to change brokers? If so the others above who mention TOS make a good recommendation. However, I wasn't sure if you were saying you want to stay at OptionsXPress but just get a different charting provider? If so then you'll have some fees to pay -- if you're willing to change brokers you'll get a free platform and then only have exchange fees to pay which are nominal in stocks.

Thanks all for the great suggestions. Shows you there are a lot of really solid directions someone can take. Just don't go "cheap" when it comes to data/charting. That shouldn't be your only criteria since it's so critical. But, cheap + great data is good!

i use interactive data (esignal), a very reliable data-feed. includes the capability to add my own custom programs directly into the chart. tons of user-contributed programs are available. i added voice into my PnF charts. this allows me to easily screen 250 stocks and be voice 'alerted' to the pattern forming so i can add these to a watchlist. the cost of the trading software is simply a business cost. my income from trading is over 6x my SSI. if can't cover the cost of the software from my trading equity, i'll stop trading and not look for cheaper software. cost is $100 month.

peter.
