AAAFX Forex Broker

Recommended Posts

Myself included!

Excellent broker, and excellent execution!

Spreads could be a bit better, though, there are no extra commissions per trade and what you see officially is what you actually get in your account as well :)

You are totally wrong, aaafx is regulated and monitored. It is all here :

https://www.aaafx.com/Assets/MiFID.pdf

I am not wrong ... the document that you are referring to above is written by AAAFx and is

just saying that if you sign up with them and declare yourself as an experienced trader etc, then AAAFX will provide you with the same coverage as MiFID would - to be clear, this is an undertaking by AAAFX and is not enforceable by MiFID. MiFID in fact does not even cover the spot forex maket....

Unfortunately, I am not able to post links as my post count is too low, but I saw a good post on BabyPips forum where someone explained it.. but go read the wikipedia article on MiFID where it says

Firms covered by MiFID will be authorised and regulated in their "home state" (broadly, the country in which they have their registered office). Once a firm has been authorised, it will be able to use the MiFID passport to provide services to customers in other EU member states. These services will be regulated by the member state in their "home state" (whereas currently under ISD, a service is regulated by the member state in which the service takes place).

So to fall under MiFiD, the the brokerage needs to be authorized and regulated by it's country's recognized regulatory body. Which does not appear to be the case with AAAFX, it is certainly not on their website and from what I have seen, brokers love to announce how many regulatory bodies they belong to.... If you have evidence to the contrary, please post it. And as mentioned above, MiFID does not even cover spot forex anyway.

Oh, I read that post you are referring too...Seems from your tone and the msg, as if you are the same person writing too :haha:

Right off their website :

"AAAFx is regulated in Europe, registration no. 2/540/17.2.2010.

Tax Identification Number : 998281207 "

I'have searched it all the way, it is EU regulated by the Hellenic Capital Markets. As for mifid its a regulation, and if it covers or not the financial markets, not really my concern, I positive the other regulators are doing their work. To tell you the truth I've had no problem with the broker or its executions.

Sorry to say, but I am not the same person, although the same might be said about you..going by your English, it is clear it that English is not your first language (even though

you are using an English name ...hmm)....are you Greek perhaps ;) ??

Regarding Hellenic Capital Markets Commission, it does appear that they are listed on their website - it is strange why AAAFx does not advertise this fact on their website ? maybe it is not something that you want to be shouting from the rooftops haha.

As far as MiFID is concerned, as I pointed out in my previous post, spot forex is not covered by MiFID....since AAAFx is a forex broker I think it would concern most people (if not you), particularly since AAAFx seems to be quite misleading in it's conduct by leading people to draw the conclusion and inferring that they are Regulated under MiFID.

I never said that English is my native language. Never thought this was a 'crime'

Ok, so, what's that obsession you've got with mifid, and EU regulation? Have you got burned with any other broker? As far as I'm informed, aren't all brokers usually with the same status, or I am wrong?

No one said it was a crime... you were the person accusing me of being someone else from another forum, to which I commented that I would not be surprised if in fact YOU were not who you are claiming to be, given that you are using a very English name however you are clearly not English (deceptive ?) and I would not be at all surprised if in you are actually a rep for AAAFx.

I have no obsession with MiFID, you are the one who brought up MiFID (go read the posts above) and I simply pointed out that MiFID does not cover Spot Forex trading....

Anyway, I have made my point regarding MiFID and you have pointed out that AAAFx are in fact regulated by Hellenic Capital Markets Commission...a fact which they do not advertise on their website (for whatever reason).....I don't see that we have anything left to discuss...unless you want to add something of actual value to the conversation..

I think you are spamming big time, you didnt even answer all my points that I asked you previously. You really thing that you are making any point where you are actually failing!!:doh:

qouting: "Right off their website :

Great arguments, you've put there - so I use a nickname, I am suppose to be English speaking..serously??!?!

It is ridiculous to accuse me of something I am not, you can go back and check all my posts , i think i did put one of live account's results. Again, I see no reason in your obsessive replies, you dont like EU regulations, go ahead and dont trade in Europe. (in case that they even accept your accounts).

Seriously, really no point discussing something you are not even able to.

Cheers and happy pipping !!!

Wow ! really ? maybe your translator is not working properly....try using Google Translate, it tends to be the best and does a good job..

What points have you made exactly ? The only thing you have done is point people to the MiFID link on AAAFx website (a document written by them) and quote their license number ... I have responded to everything. Honestly, your posts have contained nothing of substance and frankly have sought to distract and confuse.

I have nothing wrong with EU regulation (show many anything in my posts that suggests this), my problem is with brokers who try and mislead traders regarding their regulatory status...which in my opinion, AAAFx has !

Anyway "William" (what is the translation for William in Greek ?), I will not be responding to any more of your rambling nonsensical posts and I do believe that you are a representative of AAAFx and if not, good luck with what seems to be a top, above board and shining star of transparency of a broker ;)

Oh I've seen now you are having some issues for being an American because they don't accept US clients. :roll eyes:

I see no reason of attacking me personally, really no point at all. :crap:

Anyhow, again, Happy pipping and be nice to people!
