IMHO Mirus is a great introducing broker (I trade through Dorman), never had a problem, I am sorry you are having trouble I hope everything gets squared away.:):2c::)

Sounds like Patriot Act paranoia. Can't say I blame.

Loyds Bank admitted they were allowing Iran to launder money against UN sanctions and were slapped with a $350MM fine.

Seems like it's hard to trust anyone these days.

Update on OEC: All is good here since being bought by OX. I suppose no news is good news, so not much more to report.

I'd still recommend contacting Open ECry when looking for a new broker. Software AND data is free, and it's a pretty robust software package for most traders. You can also plug the data into other charting platforms if you need more. When watching your monthly expenses, eliminating any data fees is pretty nice IMO.

Get rid of IB, save your sanity

Go with Mirus, i have multiple accounts with them.

PM Me for contact info to my broker at Mirus, they rock!

What exactly is wrong with IB? I've been using them for years and is very happy with them.

There is nothing wrong with IB I have also been using them for years. Mavrik00 has been spending the whole day resurrecting old threads so he can spam on Mirus' behalf and ask everyone to PM him so he can probably sell whatever bucket and shovel he's pushing.

My experience with Velocity Futures has been one big waste of time! They lock in new customers with low commisions and a wide list of supported platforms but it turns out that most these platforms are not available and that even a simple FIX adapter can be down for several days in a row. If you can tolerate not being able to trade for days for slightly lower commisions, go ahead with them.

Juts chiming in to say I used to use Mirus with NT and everything went fine. My broker was a nice enough guy and helped me when I needed it. No frills really, just low margins and free NT.
