Any Bond Traders in the House?

Recommended Posts

I've been reading tons about MP trading thoughout this forum. I have yet to read of anyone trading the 30 year bond futures using market profile.

Is there anyone who would like to share their trading details, nuances and personalities of the bond markets?

I'm interested to see how well MP works with bonds and how to use the overnight market/previous day for the coming day.

Bonds seem to provide good bang for the buck. Need help. Thanks.

imo the 30 year is better for swing trading. Try the 10 year as it has alot more daytraders jumping in and out adding more volatility. I tried daytrading the 30 year several times and it just doesn't keep pace with the market as well as the shorter maturities.

Best of luck regardless

In the mid 1980's when MP first became known, the bonds was the market of choice and Pete Steidlmayer used that market to teach. However, since then, the volume has gone to the 10 year notes.

MP "works" on anything.
