What you should be not allowing is the "gomarkets" forex broker hyperlink in the text of the original post . . . surely?

I have queried that fact here.

Seems wiz has a problem with neutrality and even handedness.I guess that's the new policy here.Naturally this is doing nothing to stem the outflow of long termers here. You won't be seeing much of zdo in future.

I can only assume they want a complete change here in favour of a more commercially successful model. And we know what that means don't we?

Doesn't really make much sense either way. Do TL have an IB deal with "gomarkets" or whatever they were called? I doubt it. TL IB links generally seem to be automated, like when I type the wrod "tradestation" . . .

Maybe The Wiz has "gone native"?

Of course TL is a business and we shouldn't forget that. We also should not forget that it is the best of all the rest of the trading forums and I for one find the management more fair and easier to deal with than any of the others.

Not all vendors are snake oil salesmen and not all products discussed here are worthless. I think a ban on any mention of commercial products or services by their authors keeps valuable information away from us all. We all use products and services in our trading. I think TL does a good job of letting us hear from providers while at the same time working hard to eliminate blatant, repetitive spam.

Better a free market and let the fools and charlatans reveal themselves as they always do. Who in their right mind spends time on threads where some semi literate braggart talks about making a billion dollars trading forex or other threads with nothing but past posted trades.

We should assume that on any free forum we will always have to shift through a mountain of buschwa to find value.

In the meantime if anybody knows a forum that is better managed or contains more information please let us know. For sure it aint ET, Mikes or T2W.

In the meantime, thanks TW.

cheers

Hi Wiz,

You weren't meant to remove the image with the descriptions, just the broker hyperlink underneath!

Without the image, the thread now has absolutely no point of reference; it is a signpost to nowhere, like something from Baudrillard's worst nightmares . . .

Please can you restore the image? If I don't have the chart from the opening post how will I know whether to define myself as a Bull or a Shark or a Squirrel or a Smurf, or whatever those helpful classifications were?

Or . . . why not just remove this whole pointless, meaningless, rambling thread?

Maybe I am missing something but I could not find a quiz anywhere on this thread. Was it removed?

Yes, the quiz was removed.

It was a quiz to help you decide what kind of animal you are: a Shark, a Bull, a Squirrel, or a pug-faced seal cub destined to be clubbed over the head and made into a nice hat . . .

'Cos that's really why you came to a TRADING FORUM, isn't it - to find out what kind of animal you were?

You want one more chance? Get dressed. I'll show you my charts.

Knowing what type of animal you are is great for storytelling, but in the reality of trading the markets do not care and will take your money just the same.

The market is fair. Sometimes you get to enjoy a bounty and sometimes you get held down over a barrel and get relentlessly taken advantage of. Most traders, though, are traumatized by the latter and have difficulty with the future. Few traders learn that the boning you get is only figurative. The market doesn't only take money from you.

Right, I was saying that if you are worried about your trading animal character then you are probably losing money.

Depending on how much risk of exposure they’re willing to incur, dealer s usually direction on one or more areas involving increment , value or income building. Growth -centered trading involves the exercise of purchasing broth in society that are poised to grow and expand their winnings . This case of trading might focus on investment in new companies, which offer rapid increment potentiality . As a troupe grows, the value of its blood line certificate will rise, bringing the stock trader profits. Growth-centered trading may include potentially risky speculation like buying into a business IPO (Initial Public Offering). IPOs are a commodity example of how growth-centered trading can potentially bring great rewards; but it also carries a high risk of loser . Bargainer who pursue a growth-oriented stock-trading strategy must have the confidence to confidence their own instinct rather than quest reassurance from sure fact s. Value-focused investment is one in which monger are on the lookout for underpriced stocks at companies that have the potential to perform better than their stock price seems to indicate. One way is to uncovering companies that have significantly low er stock prices than that of their major rival . It is important to ensure that the company in question has not manipulated its 2 senses of dealing to make the stock price fall instead of rise. Once honesty and integrity are established, along with the fact that the company’s share price is under-valued, the value trader is now in a position of less risk. Income -oriented investing is the most conservative of commons stock trading strategy . In income-oriented trading, the focus is on capital preservation, with low price wavering being of the utmost importance. Since a steady income is the objective, an income-oriented investing style will focus on the biggest and best-known companies, those that dominate their particular market segment and can be counted upon for steady growth and profit. The emphasis is always on getting prestigious or blue chip stocks.

      Hi,
We are doing a university job where we must investigate how banks manage their financial products that require trading, for example, they offer a fund, as they manage capital internally. Could you help me?
      Thank you!

      Hello everyone!
I am an advanced trader, with many years of experience (about 15 years - 10 living exclusively from this)
I am going to give you some tips that you must know:
There are going to be many people who tell you that trade is easy, that with only crossiing a line  with another one you will win a lot of money.... and that´s not true.  No, Sir, reality is far away from that. Many people who start arrive here with the hope that someone "gives them" a free method, they watch youtube videos thinking that this will give them the "strategy" and in a few days they realize that it does not work for them - they lose money - and then They go looking for a new one ... and so on. YES, IT´S TRUE YOU EARN IN TRADING, A LOT. BUT THINK: for a few to win (10% + any BROKER) many others must lose (90% people). YOU MUST HAVE A MONEY MANAGMENT FORMULA ( you can email me) People study so many years to live on this, not because they are dumb, but to know what they do, when, and have absolute effectiveness. It´s very easy to get lost here: do not disperse, jumping from one to another strategy WILL NEVER give you money, it will only waste your time and make you nervous when trading. PEOPLE WHO CHANGE THEIR METHOD CONSTANTLY : LOOOOSE ALWAYS.   If you have the knowledge to develop it, take your time and do it.  Always try it first on DEMO for at least 2 weeks! If not: search to buy a solid strategy (no you tube videos pleassse ! Avoid losing money! ) This is like any business, it requires some capital to start (capital = money in the broker + solid made /purchased strategy) If you are lost: I RECOMMEND YOU NOT TO WASTE TIME IN YOUTUBE, JOIN PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY A METHOD ... PLEASE !!!! DO NOT BUY 10 BAD AND CHEAP METHODS, SAVE MONEY AND BUY ONLY 1 BUT EXCLUSIVE AND MUST ALLWAYS HAVE SUPPORT !!!!!  Do not buy Signals! They never keep up with constant profits! One week will win and the next will lose. Nothing that does not depend absolutely on you will give you the money you are looking for. And if you do not have a strategy (made or purchased) do not even try PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE: DO NOT USE REAL MONEY! AT LEAST 2 WEEK DEMO FREE HELP HERE!!!!!  IF YOU FOLLOW MY ADVICE YOU WILL BE PART OF THAT 10% WINNER, email me.
      Have a nice trading day

So I've been 18 for about 4 months, since I turned 18 I started up an account, and basically thought I was doing amazing because of beginners luck, put in some of my savings and managed to do well, some days I would make £200, one day I even made £900, after time I lost my profits and made a loss as well. I've realised I need to spend the time analysing the market and making technical judgments. I'm trying to read more and spend a lot of my time looking at the charts. is there any advice people can give me. and is making 5% a week a realistic goal to set myself? before anyone assumes that im looking for a get rich quick scheme, im certainly not, I see every loss ive made as a lesson and ensure that I learn from each mistake I make.
any advice about indicators, strategies, how to analyse the market, or even analysing earning reports would help me.

Does it mean that you are an expert just because you make a lot of profit? The amount of profit cannot be used to measure the value of a trader. Yes, you must be doing something right if you are making a frequent profit. However, that does not determine if you are an expert or not just by your profit. This is quite a common misunderstanding in the forex industry.
Making a large profit is only one side of the forex market. Majority of forex traders tend to lose most of the time after they have experienced profit. But why?
So many traders fall into a fantasy land where they make an endless amount of money at the beginning. Many beginner traders tend to gain profit at the start not knowing the importance of technical analysis of the market.
The experts on the other hand who stayed became wealthy and stayed that way, continue gaining profit, are all knowledgeable when it comes to the basics. Experts have dialed many ways to control their minds to be set right to be a trader.
Understanding of the market is a must know anyway. Expert traders wait patiently until the right opportunity comes. Opportunity comes to everyone.
What differentiates the experts and the beginners is that experts know when the opportunity has come and knows to take advantage of it. Making profit by luck is possible, and yes luck is also very important. But can you profit with luck every time?
How an expert trader is determined is not by how much the person gained, it’s about the precision and the frequency of results. Profit can’t be maintained by luck. It is maintained and is a result of precision and strategical execution. You shouldn’t worry because you’re not gaining any profit right now.
You should be building your skill sets to be a better trader by experiencing many trading situations of losses and wins. If you invest in your time to improve, your results are guaranteed to increase more frequently and will become more stable.

    • Date: 28th March 2024. The US Dollar Strengthens As Economists Believe The ECB Will Struggle To “Hold”. Early this morning, the Fed Governor advised “there is no rush to cut rates” and “the data within the upcoming months” will be vital. The US Dollar Index rises to a 1-month high. The value of the USD will largely be based on today’s data on economic growth, consumer sentiment and pending home sales. Dollar and index traders are closely monitoring tomorrow’s Core PCE Price Index which analysts expect will read 0.3%. A higher inflation reading can potentially pressure stocks and support the Dollar. Strong declines in NVIDIA and Netflix stocks pressured the NASDAQ on Wednesday. Though, buyers entered late in the session to boost the overall price. EURUSD The latest comments from members of the Federal Reserve are supporting the US Dollar. The forward guidance between members of the Federal Reserve is mainly not aligned. The Chairman advises the Fed does not need much more proof for the regulator to feel comfortable reducing rates. Whereas the Fed Governor, Mr Waller, advises there is no rush, and he wants to see a few months of data before determining the next move. Therefore, the upcoming inflation and employment data will remain vital and could even push back rate hikes further. According to economists, the Federal Reserve will cut the interest rate on 3 occasions this year, but the timing of the first cut is less certain and may change depending on upcoming data. A positive factor for traders is that EURUSD exchange is not witnessing conflicting currencies. The US Dollar is trading 0.12% higher while the Euro is declining against most currencies. The Euro is trading 0.06% lower against the Pound and the Canadian Dollar and 0.16% lower against the Japanese Yen. Yesterday, the head of the Bank of Italy, Mr Cipollone, said that the authorities were confident that inflation would return to the target of 2.0% by mid–2025. He also supports the lower of interest rate and will use this as a basis for adjusting monetary policy. The Euro is generally under pressure as investors believe the European Central Bank will struggle to avoid cuts if the Fed decide to delay their adjustments. The US Dollar will be influenced by four major economic data releases. The US Final GDP, Weekly Unemployment Claims, Pending Home Sales and Consumer Sentiment Index. If these read higher than expectations with the weekly unemployment claims dropping, the US Dollar is likely to witness further support. However, investors should note the main release will be tomorrow’s Core PCE Price Index. Traders are expecting no major news for Europe and volatility levels may fall tomorrow as European markets are closed for Easter. Technical analysis currently points towards a continued downward trend. The price is trading below the neutral on the RSI and below the 75-Bar EMA. However, investors should note this will also be dependent on upcoming US data. USA100 The price of the USA100 was under pressure throughout the whole US session but was saved by an increased volume of buyers late in the session. However, a positive point is the components held onto their value. Even though the index fell in value, only 28% of the components declined. Investors will now turn their attention towards tomorrow’s PCE Price Index and the upcoming earnings season which will start in mid-April. The price is now trading slightly above the Moving Averages but slightly below the 50.00 on the RSI. Therefore, technical analysis remains at the “neutral” level and continues to indicate a larger price range. If today’s economic data is positive the stock market can witness confidence and support as this continues to indicate a soft landing. Though, if the data is too strong, it could also trigger a hawkish Fed which is known to be negative for the USA100. Always trade with strict risk management.
