Volatility & Carr's Micro-Trend Trading - Need Help.

Recommended Posts

Hi folks - I am reading Micro-Trend Trading and am really enjoying the book. If anyone else has read it, can you help me out?

I have a question about setting up screening for volatility from page 47 of the book.

As an example I'll select the Overnight Trading system.

I am using finviz.com. When I set up finviz to use the screening parameters in Thomas Carr's book on page 201 for longs, do I additionally need to include the screening parameters on page 47 as well (Beta > 2.0, Price > $20, Avg Volume > 1 million), or is that information already included in the screening instructions on page 201 for the Overnight Trading system?

And is this the case for all 8 systems?

Just trying to clear up the confusion on my end.

Thanks so much!
