Re: New Frontiers in Technical Analysis

Hi Mitsubishi

I've been following this thread since you started it and I have to admit my interest is growing as this is the sort of idea / study I get interested in!

Your last template of projections, all shown within the one context, is v.interesting. Look forward to seeing more and I will contribute where I feel I can. Certainly don't think your flogging a dead horse, keep at it!

Re: New Frontiers in Technical Analysis

916 (R-10) in the 12.30 reversal zone is a better short entry but the naz may be leading the others up- 0.77% versus 0.13% on the s&p ...but financials lagging...

Thank you i am working away in paint tidying up the template b4 putting on some projections and keepin half an eye on the market so am not trading today-after 2 days with the market in the red,it makes you cautious long and short as the smart money wont want it to drop too fast and will be buying only to carry on shorting at better prices-that's my take anyway.Look forward to your contributions

Re: New Frontiers in Technical Analysis

So far targets hit from the from the 956 high..946 936 926 916 and 906 today which i might add happened in the 10.30 reversal zone we then headed to the 12.30 zone, just stopping short of 916! where price has pulled back.
2 things spring to mind regarding 2.30.......... i would let the market come to me there if i hadn't gone short at 12.30 (i'm not trading today- and would aim for a partial exit at tues close 912,so 916-912 short) I would say that it appears to be tracing out a possible W shape with the turns in the right place but that's a long shot at the moment..

Re: New Frontiers in Technical Analysis

Now that i've done all the hard work i think i will just wait to see which line calls the close . We are back in negative territory now and the most likely projection (from todays low ) is we close in the red around 913 just above support 912 that would satisfy 'both camps'. The prev close line projects 924 close-not likely now

Re: New Frontiers in Technical Analysis

So far i'm very pleased with this geometry because last time i did this the results while exciting, were different due to the scaling. I plotted on graph paper and the width of a day (mmm.. good song title,,) was the same as now but the price axis scaling was smaller. This projected price targets further out,1-3 days/weeks.Plus i was never certain which angles i was supposed to be using. What we are getting here is what i was after, that is connections within the same day and 1 or 2 days ahead.I hope it keeps going this way and that it is not just a fluke .Just glanced at the market and it's in the right zone with minutes to go 911.3. amazing watching that drop from the 2.30 reversal zone-right on the nail and now moving towards a line you could plot fom hours before...
