Search Function Needs Some Help

One thing TL could improve on IMO is the search function. I have no idea how this software is designed but it's always been a sore point here.

Example - I wanted to search for my p90x thread. I typed 'p90x' and the search said no matches...

Meanwhile, look what I found. My first post is littered with 'p90x'.

So to Steven and his silent partners, I would suggest looking into a new search engine for the site.

Re: Search Function Needs Some Help

I agree. I did a search for Puretick on the TL site with no results. However a search via Google did find find a thread on TL talking about Puretick.

Thanks,

John

Re: Search Function Needs Some Help

Any news on this? It is a pretty fundamental issue that has dragged on for some while now. What's the ETA for a fix or has it slipped through the cracks? For example searching for "search" did not find this thread.

What they said.

It does indeed need help.

In addition I can seem to get the engine to produce results from more than a year back.

Re: Search Function Needs Some Help

I'm going to have someone work on this -- we finally found a good team for some vbulletin support so I would assume they'll be able to help us with this and get it improved.

Thanks for letting me know, let's see if we can get it improved.

Re: Search Function Needs Some Help

I'm told we are all set and this is resolved. If there are any further questions or concerns on the search please let me know. Thanks for the patience.
