![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind Very long posts tend to put people off at the end of a days trading ,so best to break this up a bit.And then there are those who find it difficult to glean the answer to a question from a 2 sentence post to consider. Now what happens when one of these self entitlement types decides he too.can make money trading the market? Do i really need to answer that question? ![]() You might think that the resulting failure would build on an already burning resentment against society. But i think not. These guys didn't fail,no,the market failed them. They got caught in a freak bad luck period. The Fed was to blame,it was those damned greedy unpatriotic short sellers...it's a potentially long list..their fat ugly dumb wife made studying the chart an impossibility.... And now this schmuck is on his way to the psychologist. And boy, you'd better fix him,'cos he's paying good money for the advice. So rather than admit that he has no clue what the nice middle class professional is talking about,he'll say ''thanks very much doc'',and be on his way.probably to his local bar.where he'll tell all his mates what a load of bullshit psychology is. And there is where he and i will almost...almost meet in the middle. (CONT'D)

![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind Meanwhile the Bunnies grow ever stronger and embedded in society, producing ever more shades of grey, useless casualties for the police, courts, hospitals and psychologists to deal with. (not their own kids though. No,they get private schools and healthcare and a nice easy slide into our next category) The Reward For Failure Trend This category is best described from the top of the pyramid down, well just take the major players here or we'll be here a long time. POLITICIANS Yeah, i know by now it's gonna be difficult to suprise you going forward if you read the entire thread. But a symphony i promised.... If you need to come up with a plan that is guaranteed to fail, will cost 10 times the original estimate, will kill lots of people and just make things worse ,then these people are the worlds undisputed unassailable experts. Almost no exceptions to the rule i can think of in the entire history of human life have ever existed. If there was a political failure index i would trade it exclusively and aggressively to be sure. Realising long ago they would never be Winston Churchill or Ghandi they lowered their ambition and plumped for turning lying and ham acting into an art form-Tony Blair was an expert in this. ![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind Big suprise ![]() Since the most powerfull of this class appear, to all intents and purposes, to be running the world, along with their corporate friends,it's difficult to persuade them that their version of capitalism is no longer acceptable. You could keep your fingers crossed for people power changing things, but if you live in the UK or the US,you won't need a dictionary for the word apathy.Since all other avenues of changing this trend have effectively been sealed off, don't hold your breath. And don't get depressed (i'm not),In the long run things will get fixed, it will all be forgotten, and all the slugs will crawl back under the stone. And the word FAILURE will be written into the history books spelled SUCCESS The entire episode will be blamed on a few people who couldn't afford to pay the mortgage, and the Bunnies will carry on churning out more damaged kids. And the rewarding failure trend will begin to go parabolic.(if it isn't already) Psychology can't fix this (CONT'D)

![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind Economics,is not a science it's a theory at best, and a guess is the business plan.Hence, economists get rewarded for failure by incorrectly predicting the future. But like many other groups of ''experts'' they have very cleverly convinced the rest of us that they deserve to get paid for something you could just as easily do yourself- guess. What does this have to do with psychology? Simple.Anything that filters down to the rest of us from the rewarding failure trend in terms of effecting our lives, produces damaged people,a damaged national psyche, less winners and more losers and... psychology can't fix this.. But if you think i'm asking too much of psycholgists, they should stop trying to convince us they can fix things that they can't.And getting paid for fixing things you ain't fixed is part of the rewarding failure trend. Some people go see a shrink year after year-so they are obviously not getting fixed.Rande himself can't tell us at what point he would advise a client to give up trading... mmmm is that an acceptable answer from a professional? any professional? At least a lawer could advise on the likelyhood of you winning the case.Advise on the length of the sentence you might get. But you know, there's all kinds of odd social mores we get conned into.Ever tipped the guy that works at burger king? But you might tip the waitress in a restuarant. What's the difference? Ever really thought about it? Or did your behaviour just get quietly shepherded for you by people that know better than you what is acceptable and what is not? ![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind Ever find yourself trawling through 150 channels of junk on the TV trying to find something worth watching? Ever asked yourself why you're paying to be not entertained? Welcome to the rewarding failure trend Ever get tired of listening to untalented B-movie celebrities agonising over their next plastic boob job? Ever wondered why your teenage kids are even more miserable 'cos they aren't talentless enough to join the ever growing members on the rewarding failure trend? Ever wondered why the 100k a week sports stars never put a single dime back into the game they owe everything to? Is it 'cos they're part of the self entitlement trend that actually believes they're worth it? Ever despaired that each less educated, world owes me a living generation, is slowly dumbing down the entire planet and ensuring the 1% and Bunnies get to stay in power? Take it to the bank...psychology is never going to fix this

![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind It seems you dont like those that look for excuses, nor do you like those that gamed the system as it stands....that makes it easy for you - everyone is an idiot Aren't you offering your own brand of sales pitched psychology here without offering any real practical solutions to help apart from maybe join your local "your'e all idiots - grumpy old men " group (YAI -GOM)??? My father is a part of this group - its depressing, as I dont see any positive inputs from such thoughts and while you may not need to see a psychologist I am sure these rants might make others think you do..... ![]() Either way.....you are free to choose ....would you like to take that freedom from others? Personally I blame the accountants for all of societies woes - off course after I blame myself every morning, but by the end of the day I know I am part of the solution and those sticking accountants are still out there causing mayhem and undermining society.

![]() | Re: Taking the Blinders Off the Trading Mind Quote:
The England team are the current ICC World Twenty20 champions having won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 and are the current holders of the Ashes, which is the Test match series contest between England and Australia and which has been played since the 1882–83 Australian season. The team is currently in sixth place in the ICC ODI Championship and, as of August 2011, are the top ranked Test side in the world. Wikipedia. I could go on about outstanding players like Botham, Gooch, Stewart, and more recently the likes of Flintoff...... but I won't ![]() Mitsubishi would you like to offer up a time when you considered things were better, or do you consider that the rot set in about the time of your birth.
