  3. Hi Urma, thanks for the ideas... I took a 250 constant contract bar on Dax-Future´for the last 5 trading days. Took Upvolume und Downvolume Ticks and smoothed it out with an moving average. The robustness of parameters you will see in the chart. I took the optimal value (17) for going always long or short with no stops and no commission. Interessting concept, but I would like to see the parameters more robust ;-) W.
  4. Accumulation / Distribution can also be tracked with the Wyckoff Waves; nowerdays there are even Wyckoff Weis Waves to see at weisonwyckoff.com/weis-wave/ On-Balance-Volume does also a good job. W

  8. As speculator one fulfills at least two social functions that would otherwise be shunned very strong: Take risks that others would not take. Tolerate uncertainty that others would not endure. So in total they provide liquidity for the great process of economic (positive or negative) critic. My two cents. W.
  9. Hi Steve, can you explain a little bit more about how you are defining "time based pivots"? Is it similar to the concept of Dilernia: Datafeeds provides technical and systems analysis for the SPI, DOW, S&P and FOREX ? Thanks W
  10. Hi KeyToTheCastle, thanks for your interessting chart. One question: How do you measure Order Flow? Thanks W.
  11. For the calculation of the Wyckoff Wave, SMI has for each component a mutiplier. Does anybody know, the base for this calculation of the multiplier? And how often or when is he adjusted? Thanks in advance W

  13. In Wyckoff Yahoo group you will not find any formulas - helas! in 2006, the SMI wrote in an email: "Introducing Wyckoff Secrets Revealed For decades, Wyckoff investors have wondered and frequently asked how the O.P., Trend Barometer and intra-day waves are determined. For as long as people have been asking, our response has been that which is not included in the Wyckoff Course is proprietary. On November 1, that is going to change. Everything you have ever wondered about or asked about the Wyckoff indexes and indicators will be will be presented in Wyckoff Secrets Revealed. These are the topics that will be discussed in this new publication. Gathering necessary date Determining intra-day waves Developing and O.P. Index Calculating the Technometer Calculating the Force Calculating the Momentum How to use the Tec and Force Applications to other markets Wyckoff Secrets Revealed will only be available during November 2006. It will be distributed by e-mail beginning November 1 on a first come first served basis. There are three ways to reserve your copy. Reserve your copy with a credit card by e-mail at .. 15. I think I can follow the discussion about the relationship between VSA and TG. I followed some TG live webinars by GH and the problems/misleadings I see are: - Chart/Tape reading "bar by bar" - as Seb does all the time, every bar has a distinct meaning!? (not looking at the big picture) - Time frame for analysis 1 minute bars for trading (again not seeing the broader picture behind) - Switching the time frame all the time for finding TG Signals (GH) - Wyckoff principles at work, but no TG signal is indicating them ("Wyckoff is not to computerise" DB) - TG Signals are laging 1 bar, because confirmation is needed, but TG signal is placed on the bar before I have learned a lot of from TG, but I would hear from others, where they see problems of the TG use / interpretaion of the Wyckoff method.
  16. Have a look at http://www.finviz.com/ --> TopInsiderTrading You will see that William Gates III sold shares from MFST for ca. 100,000,000 value in the last couple of days. -- no VSA, I know, but perhaps interessting to see "MSFT GATES WILLIAM H III Jan 28 Sale 54,083,400 MSFT GATES WILLIAM H III Jan 29 Sale 35,585,200 MSFT GATES WILLIAM H III Jan 30 Sale 17,325,500"
  17. Sledge: I think the same: market "will DROP". But "Timing" for short was some bars to early (now 5 to 6 bars)? for my taste; this is what I - also timely - would say. By the way, if trading short, with which scenario? where Stoploss? where Profittarget? etc. An other question: which datafeed / market do you exactly use in your chart? w.
  18. Hi Sledge! Thanks for the Chart; my IB Chart is slightly different in volume and price. What is your datafeed? I would say, your timely signal was a little bit to early; 2 to 3 bars.(??) w.
  19. Yes, but in combination with Constant Volume Bars (CVB: cf "ProfLogic" at ET-Board). With Constant Volume Bars (CVB) = you can clearly see the trend of the market. With MarketDelta Pricelevel-Delta = you can clearly (?) see demand / supply. Together plotted one could have maximum market generated information with minimum chart complexity.
  20. "..show a 5000 Constant Volume candle, with the Bid/Ask volume in the middle pane, and the Bid/Ask volume based on the uptick/downtick interpretation." Mister Ed, your charts #34 are perfect! One is clearly seeing when more “buyers” or “sellers” come in - it is showing low and high tide. It would be very interesting to “see” with market profile eyes, at what levels buyers and at what levels sellers mostly came in. So this could indicate their pain levels. Perhaps you can plot your charts again with separated volume profiles (one for bid and one for ask volume), to see this?
