  1. Not sure where you're located. But here in London there are several traders who put on free training events. I'm going to this one next Saturday: Tradersopenday.com Check online, I know tradingacademy.com puts on quite a few events around the UK and USA as well. Good way to get the basics down quickly.
  2. Hello everybody! I'm new to this forum and new to the forex world. I have two questions I just can't find the answer to: 1. My account balance is in dollars, so let's take for example EURUSD, when I'm buying euros I am selling dollars, (dollars from my account) BUT when I am selling euros to buy dollars, from where do I have euros? In my account I only have dollars. Can someone help me? 2. It's almost the same thing, I have dollars in my account and I want to trade GBPCHF, so from where or whom am I getting the pounds or francs? Hope that makes sense, just having trouble wrapping my head around this one. Thank you in advance for helping!
  3. Anyone know where the statistic of 95% losing and 5% winners ratio for traders came from? I keep seeing this put up as a "FACT" but there doesn't seem to be anything other than anecdotal evidence to support this statistic. Anybody have any idea?
  4. Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm fairly new to the forex world, having spent some time studying forex in the past, I'm now ready to get serious with my learning and trading. Also interested in chatting to anyone located in London! Other than reading the forums (which I'm doing a lot of!) can anyone recommend a good resource for getting the fundamentals of trading down? Cheers!
