  1. Great point. There are so many problems that we can foresee yet, no one is working together to create alternatives and solutions. It is important that we band together to solve these problems for the sake of our children and grandchildren. If not, we will be worse off than we are now.
  2. I think that a Finance degree holds more weight than an economics degree for several reasons. First, a finance degree is typically a business type degree while an economics degree is usually on the liberal arts degree track. With a business degree, you will learn more relevant skills than you will with a well-rounded liberal arts degree which is more conceptual. Check out this helpful articles "How to Plan Your Career" which offers a lot of insight on making decisions now that will prepare you for a successful career in the future. Best of luck!
  3. Great take on the current economic situation in the US. I think the idea of community in a crowd is spot on. However, I wish we saw each of these people present in the White House, Senate, and House working together to help our country. The economy is bound to turn around yet, we haven't seen that happen yet. The invisible hand will not fail and, economics are certainly about utilizing potential yet, why do the policy makers not do this?
  4. I use a variety of tools to backup my files. I have an external hard drive that I try to back up monthly. I also have a lot of USB flash drives that I use for work, personal, etc. I also use iCloud. Previous to that I used Carbonite. It is a very reliable website. There are many similar to it though. I think it is smart to have your files backed up in more than one place in case something were to happen. I like the idea of having them backed up wireless-ly via the internet as well as a hard copy.
  5. I have started reading it already. I think it very well written and simplifies wall street for inexperienced traders like me.
