  1. I am not certain about the cost of PalTalk either... but I too have Skype and like that a lot as well.
  2. Sorry for your loss - remember it happens to everyone and is part of this business. I am primarily a divergence trader and did ok today, but have a difficult time when the market keeps chopping to find a top or bottom. I, too, have considered larger stops for those days (and am considering developing risk tolerance rather than using a hard stop as hard stops can bleed you slowly). In any case, take today off and go back to analyze what happened tomorrow or Sunday... then get excited for Monday because your next great trade is just around the corner.
  3. I am very interested in an .eld for the PVP for TradeStation as well ... I currently have the matrix window open but I like the visual display of Jerry's indicator right on my trading chart.
  4. I like the idea of grading our days, though I will probably keep a more detailed journal for all trades taken throughout the day so I can go back and analyze them later. Someone early on in this thread commented that they meet at the end of each week with a partner to discuss their week and I reckon weekly, rather than monthly, meetings might work out well ... that said, maybe we can establish rooms which meet more or less frequently (depending on demand) and see where that goes.
  5. I like the idea of forming groups of traders with similar methodologies (say, MP, fibs etc). I had suggested starting a PalTalk room for people who use JPerl's VWAP methodology but didn't get many people that were interested...
  6. I just saw this thread and am interested in holding myself accountable not just to myself (without any excuses) but also to my fellow traders here at TL. I like the idea of a spreadsheet which would list all of my trades and would distinguish between planned and emotional trades and missed trades (trades I should have taken in accordance with my methodology but which I didn't take because of fear of being stopped out etc). In regards to Soultrader's questions #3, I reckon this system would have to rely on our honesty if we do not want to explain our individual trading plans in detail... and since this is something I would want to do to improve my results, if I post inaccurate results I only end up cheating myself. I think James can mediate and introduce members since he's the most involved founder of any forums I've known.
  7. Hi Jerry, I have been following and studying your lessons for several weeks now and am amazed. I primarily trade the ES and have been using divergence to give me a bias to the up or down side, however, adding the VWAP (by the way - thanks for the indicator DBTina, fantastic work) has helped me a lot and your skew methodology appears even better than my indicators. I am wondering if you or anyone else in this thread using your methodology is interested in starting a PalTalk room to call out possible trade setups etc. Again, thank you so much for everything. Cheers, Michael
  8. Thanks for starting this as I'm just starting to utilize candlesticks in my trading. Looking forward to understanding more.
