    Please Guide

Thanks Gabe. I have been following the various threads and realised that some organised form of learning was necessary. I will of course continue following the forum regularly.
  2. Hi I want to learn Technical Analysis. Wanted some advice on which online training site I should invest in. I have in mind the following: Trade Smart University (their first set of webinars are free) ICE (wide choice) Investools Investopedia (all free) Thanks!
  3. Respect your views and still too raw to comment on it. But one thing i have observed in myself is that when it comes to sim trading the emotions dont come into play. I tried a method on paper first and worked fine (a short time though) and then when i traded with money it went all haywire and i made a lot of mistakes even when aware i was making them. Maybe i didnt sim trade long enough or just the wrong turn in market...
  4. I think it started sometime back in history with some valid basis - like value of stock based on company performance where once the price crossed the 'resistance' no one was willing to consider a price lower to sell. Ever since tech analysis has become mainstream i think it is the stops that more or less drive it.
  5. Agree with you. It is where most beginners make mistakes - i think in knowing the exceptions to the rules.
