  1. Hi,

I can convert your indicator pending they are of interest to me.

  2. I am thinking to convert to Metastock from Tradestation and Ninja. Has anyone else here converted from TS to Metastock and can elaborate if Metastock can handle complex codes and heavy calcs/Cpu usage VS Tradestation ? Feed accuracy? Backfill? Tnx
  3. By enlighten us, you mean post a lovely chart where some curves turn and the price projects there along with bells and whistles and a cash machine running wild, and than some people would ask my indicators and start searching forums on the subject, and then I post my indicators per everyone's request and than they find out it does not avail any specific edge on the long run, and then they run the indictaors with a debug to find out nuances etc to no avail..... Then no,I have no specific chart that would illustrate the usage of Polycycles (which do not work, thus the debate here ). Its the train of thought that I am trying to start in this thread , hence the thread calls for pro's.... No offense meant old chap.
  4. Ok, Any pro that would like to get in the debate here please do. There are some great attributes to using Cycle Polynomials to ascertain market orientation/strength. I have played with combining Polynomial Cycles with other Trend cycle indicators Hilbert etc. Anybody else playing with this?
  5. Negative, Please check before commenting :>. They changed the security since prev versions have been hacked. Now every time you run it it calls home.EVERY TIME. Also it does host some calcs, check band leaks with version 5, check before commenting.... Furtheremore, Sniffers are bull. These are top Russian programmers.
  6. Maybe it would sound silly to you guys, but for me trading has actually helped with some bad times in my life. I.e. the total concentration it sucks out of you and the rewards are almost intoxicating . Some scholars that dealt with the question of "what is truely pleasureable" dictated that if one forgets of time and space while doing something, that something is pleasureable above and beyond...Thus , To a great extent online trading is the modern version of "Fishing".
  7. I am having trouble with platforms that are server protected by the vendor (Its a form of code protection, will not get into terms and details here),so in essence part of the calcs you program end on the "other side" , which to me is a breach of my privacy and security. I understand why they protect it that way, but having spent xxxxxxxxxxxxx hours on programming complex algos I wouldnt play them on this (hence why most of my stuff is on a Gui/platform I programmed...to answer some private messages i got here). NOTE: that if you firewall it, MC will not work, yeh I know I am going Orwellian on you guys but hey just take caution . If you disregard the above,All and all its a great program, with very good multicore support.
  8. Naked poc - i.e. Poc not touched post its creation will attract price with a good setup (your choice), unfortunately the news kicked in...
  9. Naked POC 4747. Looks good r/r down.
  10. If you want to be serious : 1) Refresh your math skills(take a course, no excuses...I said serious...). 2) Have a clear goal what you want to attempt. 3) C# is great (Ninja), Easylang is ok(depends on what you want to achieve, thus if you have very very smart ideas (like me ...lol) you will need to exe them on a platform that has no limits ( TS and MC are not the way to go , why ? well these programs cannot calc Multimarket analysis well at all unless you use Global variables, and for that you will need to know C# ...again its all in what you want to attempt). 4) If you are going for the pro stuff (I have been programming for over a decade , so from experience I must stress that the basics is what counts), you will need 1-2 years of experience to even attempt smart coding , if you want easy lang level - 3-6 months - with proper guidance .
  11. Requirements : A) Mental Intelligence + Discipline . B) Finance to allow learning. C) Proper Wife ( Best with a job [Nagging value diminishes exponentially]). D) Good house with an Iron room to keep the wife out. E) Kids....well...see point D. F) Programming ability. G) Yoga / Classical music (No Mozart(Drama queen) and No Screaming opera singers, Bach Piano is best). H) Must be calm, thus "Go forth and multiply" however this may be a problem with the Iron Room VS the wife, unless you have other means to releave yourself . I) Food , Proteins,Fibres, fruit, less coffee is better. J) Train : Gym, or Swim. K) Avoid chat rooms and "mentors". L) Know thyself. M) Do not trade while Drinking, especially Vodka which tends to make you go short all the time for some reason, no idea why. Well if you have all the above, I think that :3-5 years will do.

    Bel20

Ok, This is a great index to trade. Based only on 20 stocks, and quite affiliated with Europe. I expect it to go down further. I am short from 2093 holding for at least 2-3 more days since I see it going to its base based on lack of volume and distribution. The levels are MMath-320/Daily S/R/240 S/R. My stop is small at 2095 based on Mmath7/8 level which holds well, the reason is obvious based on recent market moves. Best broker IB. Slippage , small. Better suited to day trading, but position trading is good. Euro session. Info on IB+ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BEL20
  13. I agree ZDO. About a year ago TRO coded a strategy for TS that seeks to filter only stocks with gaps (X) and calc the odds that X would fill based on historical stats (I think its on Kreslik.com), if anybody wants to check it out. The nature of a gaps is enthused buying/selling which if negative to the open can put the market maker in trouble sometimes thus making them to seek "closure" and thus join the gap fill party, however today market makers are totally unpredictable even on that. I do not use gaps anymore apart from ZDO's approach.
  14. This is a very wise anecdot from an Israeli Tech trader(Ob1..) freind of mine : " A guy goes to a psychiatrist, The doc says what's wrong? The guy says I am seeing "body-parts" on charts. The doc says what do you mean body parts? The guy says I am seeing head and shoulders and some Bottoms on charts. The doc says , that is bad, and gives him some Meds. After two weeks the guy comes back to the doc. The doc says, well do you still see body parts on charts? The guys says, no, no more body parts. The Doc says, do you see anything else? The guy says, well I do see some butterflies and flags but not that often. The doc says, its bad and gives him some more meds. After two weeks the guy returns to the doc and says, Finally I don't see anything on my charts, just charts. The doc says' thats great, and gives him the Rorschach test, and tells him well what do you see in the inkbolts? The guy says I see complex scientifically derived algorithms.. The doc says thats great, maybe you should write a book on that. A year later the guy publishes a book entitled" Body parts on charts", alas nobody buys it, because they think the guy is a lunatic. So, the guy changes the title to "Patterns on charts". Now, everybody buys the book, and everybody is seeing butterflies, heads, shoulders, double bottoms, tripe heads, even some claim that after reading the book they could swear they saw the Monica/Clinton's Stain on the ES chart, which proved to be an amazing reversal pattern. Anyway, the book becomes a best seller along with titles like: A GUIDE TO DATING ETIQUETTE , by Mike Tyson FRENCH WAR HEROES. by Jacques Chirac MY BEAUTY SECRETS, by Janet Reno MY LITTLE BOOK OF PERSONAL HYGIENE,by Osama Bin Laden AMELIA EARHART'S GUIDE TO THE PACIFIC and THE AMISH PHONE DIRECTORY Anyway the joke is on me because I bought the book...
  15. For me the idea that a market is overbought or sold is absurd, yet people use stochastics like a "grail machine"....5,3,3 no 15,9,9....No 8,3,3.....No.....the Angle.....No the Cross of the stochs.....No.......the Macd with the stoch ...No...oh wait the 15 min must align with the 5 min.....No....wait the Ema 34 must retrace before the CCI will give us a hook, oh yes , oh yes, oh yes, Meg Ryan in Harry met Sally now screams in the restaurant.......Eureka..........OH NO, There was news and the stochs of the 15m got tangled with the 5 and the leading index is at its monthly high plus the stoch is overbought, yes yes yes and now even Harry joins Meg ....oh no The fed killed us with the news, bloody hell maybe next time I will use a faster MA to compensate for the lack of feed accuracy due to my broker...oh wait that it, the feed is broken, I will buy a better feed : CQG(XXXX$), Bloomberg(xxxxxxxxx$) thats its , that was the problem the feed, oh wait its not the feed its the fact that I have to pea while trading, so I will read trading in the Zone again to distract my pain of trading through my Urinal glans directly unto the stoch 15,9,9 on the 3 Min which is the way to go, but wait my platform does not have Range Bars and everybody knows range bars are the way to go, unless the bottleneck is the CPU which is not strong enough to play DOOM and trade at the same time, so I will get a better CPU , oh wait, I have thunder storms so a great UPS is required....YES EUREKA ITS THE UPS GUYS, Much better than any technical analysis tool out there. daily candle is it....lol.
  16. Very strange, your initial statement totally negates the nature of the Dax, yet you wish to trade it with predefined targets? For me this is madness (No offense meant). What I suggest is for you is to paper trade it for at least 6 to 12 months before even starting to day trade it. I have the most complex systems out there for trading futures and I still get whipped many many times. Avoid news times at all costs. Yes 10-20k Euro is ok for 1 lot! The Dax is a crazy beast, it can wipe your account in a blink. If I were you,I would start with the Fesx for the first 6 months, than start watching the Dax if at all! Also, take special note that the Dax volume is very misleading, so maybe you should try to follow some Dax stocks to get some insight into the contract . Best of luck
  17. possible rev soon? what do u think?
  18. No one knows, but something is quite out of the ordinary. You can see that all the Euro indices are out of Sync, it seems that post the recent mega eco plague the market balance has gone wrong. Usually the Dollar Index was a guide in the loom, but now, I look into the Swiss and Cable float the get some info on the Greenbuck. EW analysis is also almost rare even in sync, usually wave 4,5 or the ABC's were a given post a good wave three but now even that is out. If I were to predict, which I never do whiule trading, It seems that another earthquake is in the making, the current "quiet" is fake . I think the Euro guys are rebuilding the export/import equations with less dollar in the formula's thus pushing the Fed to extreme measures of convertion bombs all over Europe...This is unstable and will Blow the Euro Dollar Sync and all the Indices correlated. The pragmatic result of my blabber is that swings are shorter and targets are vague more than ever. We need to find a new link...
  19. Same here. Willing to assist in coding for pure clean Data(CQG etc).
  20. Tnx Suri, Great to have you here. Having bought and read your book, I feel that you did not give much in the practical sense of actually using the patterns , thus, . Can you enlighten us on techniques to pick a reversal on tops: Magic tick Ma crosses etc|? Also, Can you please explain your views on using Ticks vs Time intervals. PS - See my code for Balance points for TS posted in this forum, it goes well with your confluential analysis. Tnx
  21. Couldn't agree more. Great post!
  22. Lol, If only life was that easy.. Take your time old chap. First learn the basics.
