    The Race

Hi Attila, I admire you tenacity at trading and your continuous posting. I know I would have trouble keeping up the posting. You remind me of myself not to long ago. I would make a mistake, and then get vengeful and try to make it back, but not at a time of my chosen plan, I would just buy or sell while I was mad, and expect the market to give it back. It didn't work out so well:crap: Two things I ended up doing. In the aftermath of the day I decided if I traded properly, and if I didn't I lost my PRIVILEGE to trade the next day. I had to earn the privilege to trade the next day. The next thing I did was place a small post-it note next to my order screen. A simple word "Responsibility", to make proper decision, and if it was a well arrived decision, I didn't take the trade. Responsibility, just a small reminder why and what I was doing this for. Just a hint it's not for money, it generally never is. It is about what that money is able to do for you. As long as your why is a worthy cause and you keep your mind on it, I believe it will help you as it did me. Good luck, and I wish you the best at mastering yourself, Jands
  2. Your tedious work is appreciated:)
  3. Yes, I was shocked, this all happened in what seemed like a few seconds. A lot shorter time period than I thought he meant. It's nice to take a swing and not hurt! Good trading, Jim
  4. We all have skeletons in our closet:doh:
  5. Well just got stopped out for Breakeven after being 2 pips away from my profit order. Darn putting my girls to bed:crap: I wouldn't pass that up, silly me! Till next time, jands
  6. I thought I would finally make a post of a trade, just sorry it is so late, I got filled and it was time to put the girls to bed. Anyhow, I included a picture of the trading platform showing this is a real account. I had some ill timed problems that took my account way down. Soooo, I'm having to use Massive Crazy Clown Car Leverage to trade, and if I get two trades in a row wrong, that will probably end this account. Why am I doing this, hopefully to show what I've learned from this thread and that using patience and waiting for the right trade will do. I may only have a few trades a week or less, but if I make money, that is better than trading a lot and losing money. I'm not picking on anyone, just talking from experience;) So thank you to everyone on the thread, wish me luck, cause this small of an account I will need at least a little! Good trading, jands BTW, I will work on the colors and and labeling the entry and exits on later charts. Hope you can still read them.
  7. Very nice post Daedalus, I have to agree with Thales on the quality and helpfulness of this post. Thanks, Jands
  8. Hi Forrestang, I know you don't know me from Tom, Dick, or Harry but I will throw in my two cents worth and hopefully you can verify it on your own. Just as a general rule, when you have a very strong gap at the open in the stock e-minis, most of the time the trend will continue in that direction. And what is a strong gap, I don't know how to explain it, but when you see it, you'll recognize it. Hope this helps and good luck, Jands
  9. Hi Thales, Thanks for the recommendation. I've been reading the thread from the beginning. I must say, what a great thread you have going and you also have some great contributors that make it very robust. It's great of you to pass so much information and help along to so many. I hope people take advantage of what all this offers. See you around, Jim
