  1. I am with Kiwi. He has done an excellent explaination. Just to add on. TA doesn't fail a trader, trader fails himself. TA is useless, because the trader is not applying correctly, and unable to accept the fact that, it is playing with probability. We use TA to look for high probability entry/exit point. It is just that simple. Have a profitable day.
  2. I think James answered the questions for me. Software fee and data fee are business cost. So , pay only what you really need. Have a great day. Gav
  3. I am Tradestation user. Switched from Strategy Runner. For futures trading, as long as you have made 10 round turns a month, software is free of charge. Excluding commission (which is considered low), you need to pay some fee for data. CME, CBOT, Nasdaq, NYSE, ARM cost me total around USD25 monthly. That's all. To me it is overall cost effective. Gav

    Spot vs Futures

I think texxas and torero explained the points. Just to add on. I withdrawn from spot forex and focus on futures was really due to regulation. Spot forex, you are dealing with your broker, not really the market. You are playing with their rules, their server availability, trust them with your money. Nothing really good or bad. If you are able to take the game, go ahead. For me, NO. Happy holiday
  5. Ok, I raised my hand. I was the one who did not trade the opening hour. But , now I am enjoying opening play. There are money to be made there.
  6. Monday was a good day for this strategy, look at 15-min chart of ES, since moved in the morning and fell asleep in the afternoon.
  7. Thanks for sharing. Kevin Ho, one of guest lecturer at LBR group has a similar strategy. You may find the document here Have a great weekend. Gav
  8. Please correct me if I am wrong. The case is not new. It was reported in 2005 ? Or I have missed out something? NFA ID Respondent Penalty/Event Event Date 0307871 TRADESTATION SECURITIES INC • LETTER REPRIMAND 10/07/2005 Anyway, I am cautious after knowing this. NFA link
  9. Very interesting insight of market condition using market profile. Good post! Gav
  10. Are you looking at the charts of YMZ06.D, NQZ06.D and ESZ06.D. regular session? Gav
  11. Sorry to post the same question again. But does anyone of you trading YM, NQ, ES on Tradestation? It seems to be frozen AGAIN today. Gav
  12. guys, Anyone having problem with Tradestation today? Charts of NQZ06.D, ER2Z06.D, ESZ06.D and YMZ06.D are frozen. Am I looking at wrong contracts? Gav
  13. James, How exactly did you hedge your YM position during exchange down? Hedging using ES is another way. I am not familiar with options trading, but I am thinking if it is possible to use options to hedge YM during exchange down.. Gav
  14. Well, you can say that as enthusiasm or the other way, addiction. I am fine with a week or 2 break to charge up myself. Especially, during some bad days. I agree with you a prolong break, (maybe more than 1 month break) might get you out of track, but you should be able to get back on track within a week. To me, trading is not about sticking with market 24x7. It is a psychological challege, a mindful game. If you have mastered the edge of this aspect, you should get back to form soon. Just to share with you my thought. Btw, I just come across Traderslaboratory. Great work. Keep it up. Gav Tradergav
