  1. One trade at a time, thats not make sense. These stocks don't all move at the same time or like each other. That's why on any given day, some will move more than others. You're going to have the opportunity on some of them every day. Remember, all you're looking for is a 2 to 3% change. That happens all during the day. So my opinion is split your money and do more trades. Watch those stocks for several days and you will see the long smooth runs on the charts. Johalber
  2. Hello All, I have a question regarding option assignments. If I'm in a covered call situation and the price of the stock goes above the strike price, does it get assigned right there and then or does it get assigned at expiration. At what point it time am I in danger of assignment? I'm confused as to when I get assigned in general. In my particular situation I just want to get a little more cash and not sell my stock. Similarly, If I sell a naked put with the intention of owning the stock at a particular price at what point to I assigned. I assume that I'd get assinged when the stocks price reaches the puts strike price or goes below it. Johalber
  3. soultrader, Yes I have a plan and it has been working fine, but I find some stocks that have the same trends as the last stocks where I made a profit but the outcome is sometimes different. I also established a money management plan and have stops where I won't lose more then what I invested. So I think I have all those parts covered so I guess I will just need to study the trends a little more closely. Johalber
  4. hi, Need some help on trading from someone that is having some success in trading? I have been paper trading for more then 2 months now and every time I feel that I understand the charts and make a profit the tables turn so fast that I lose faster then what I make. I followed the same steps that I used when I made a profit but at time it does not seem to work, either I am overlooking something or just putting to much thought into the process, what ever the case may be I hope someone can help me understand this a little better.
