  1. Thank you very much. How many trades do you plan to take everyday? Do you have areas that you look at beforehand that you will take trades off automatically?
  2. Hello, I would like to explain my current problem. I have been trading the ER2 for a few months. One problem I have is the conflict between market analysis and trading with the flow. I do setup my charts on different timeframes to analyze market direction. However, do traders approach the trading day with a certain bias? I find bias conflicts with the current activity or flow of the markets. At the same time I feel like market analysis is a necessity. How do you guys overcome this? Pierre
  3. Thank you for the post MrPaul. Very interesting read.
  4. I though it might be interesting to hear some of the trading rules traders live by. Im still learning the ropes of trading and one rule I live by is there is no such thing as overbought or oversold!
  5. Would you agree that chaos theory is a concept for market understanding and not to be mistaken for a trading strategy? The chaos theory interests me because I feel there is pattern/order in chaos.
  6. torero, Thanks for the chart. Do you usually use a stop that wide for google? What is your average holding time?
  7. Google seems to be the only search engine adding new features constantly. For webmasters google is pure heaven. They made over $1billion in adwords revenue and in my opinion there is alot more room for google to grow. Do investors look to buy google long-term or is google mainly for traders? How far can it go? $1000?
  8. Why are some traders able to trade successfully with simple methods while others use complex strategies? Just because a trader uses advanced and complicated methodologies, does this make him smarter than a trader who uses a simple method?
  9. I read an introduction to chaos theory online and would like to ask if anyone is familiar with it. What exactly is chaos theory and how would one apply it to trading the markets? I seems like an interesting theory to me but I have only touched the surface level of it. I would like to hear a more in depth description of the chaos theory. Thank you
  10. Thank you earsha. I'm still trying to develop my own methods of analysis. I read alot of good posts in this forum emphasizing the importance of having a trading style. Perhaps I may look into pivots and test it out.
  11. Wall Street is a great movie. Although I would also like to see an update. Not many movies based on trading and finance in general.
  12. Hi all. I am new to this forum. I read about pivot points in this forum and would like to know if they can applied to the forex markets. Can pivot points be used on a longer time frame as well? So far, I use a variety of indicator signals for my entry and exits. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
