Hello all,

I decided a couple of months ago that I would have a look at trading futures contracts. Ever since I read about the Turtles I find that futures hold that "special something" (well, at least for me) and I think that it's about time that I did my outing as a wannabe futures trader. A trading plan is in the works: I will trade commodity, interest rate and equity index derivatives on the European exchanges (primarily Eurex and Euronext). I'm going to trade net positions (i.e. no spreads, no options and the likes) that I will hold for a few days. Which would make me a swing trader, I guess.

Currently I use NinjaTrader with Kinetick, I've got MetaStock and good old Excel. My broker is Lynx (which uses, as far as I can tell, a white labelled version of interactive brokers' iTWS).

I'm here because I still have loads to learn: I have some experience trading equities -- even managed to blow up my account during the dotcom bubble but hey who didn't But futures trading is a wee bit different, and it takes time to adapt to those new concepts. Second, I'm looking for likeminded people to chat with and since this board seems both informative and fun I just had to hit the Register button!
