The Psychology of Risk by Ari Kiev
A mediocre book dealing with trading psychology. Ari Kiev advises traders to deal with emotions. Emotions are a part of human nature and it is impossible to eliminate emotions completely. Therefore, it is best to understand how emotions affect our trading behavior and do our best to control it.
Overall, I found this book rather simple. I was not satisfied by the material covered in the book. Alot of the content is nothing new and redundant. Perhaps traders may find his first book better.

Millionaire Traders: How Everyday People Are Beating Wall Street at Its Own Game
This book just came out and is kind of the day-trader version of 'The New Market Wizards' book that came out 10-15 years ago (by Schwager). Interviews with home-traders that make good money using their PC's and a dsl line. This book is inspiring and it has some very good tips and you will find yourself nodding in agreement a lot. It is not a book of precise set-ups -- but I find this book an interesting read to remember the key concepts that make for good trading.
What makes...

Markets In Profile - Dalton, Dalton and Jones
This is a partial review, as I haven't had time to finish it just yet, but wanted to share what I have read so far, and get some people interested in this amazing book.
Dalton, once again, has given indescribable insights into the market place via Market Profile. His previous book, Mind Over Markets, was the bible for MP followers, and this is like making MoM the old testament, and Markets In Profile the new testament. It's an amazingly holistic look at the market place and shows...

Trading Rules that Work: The 28 Essential Lessons Every Trader Must Master
I don't know what else to say but this guys material is worth its weight in gold times 10.
Jason goes into detail on a psychologial level as to why these rules need to be followed. Along with his webinars from the CBOT, he explains how the trading environment thinks and goes about its daily business.
If you are struggling with your consistancy in trading, chances are it's your thought process and not any system that you are following that is the problem. Even a winning system...

Investment Valuation by Aswath Damodaran
While not a trading book the the subtitle to this text is "Tools and Techniques for Determining the Value of Any Asset", Damodaran is not joking about that subtitle. I found this book from Neiderhoffer's Daily Speculations recommended book list and its what they recommended for a valuation text so it is quite quantantative.
Pretty much every usefull valuation model is presented here along with some unique ideas. Calculating the implied equity risk premium on the overall markets,...

Technical Trading Tactics by John L. Person
There is not many books that focus on price action. Since I am a pivot point trader, I enjoyed John Person's book very much. His core trading methodolgy uses pivot points on a longer time frame. Until then, I used pivots strictly on an intraday basis. However, John proved that it can work on daily, weekly, and even monthly charts.
He combines candlestick patterns with pivots adding further confirmation and making the trading signal even more powerful. If you are still trading...

Mind over Markets by James F. Dalton, Eric T. Jones, Rober B. Dalton
This is by far my favorite trading book. The concept that you can learn from Market Profile? is pure information. Market Profile? teaches you market understanding, a method different from trading signals based on technical indicators. Dalton does a terrific job explaining Market Profile? in a very simple yet sophisticated way. If you are trading without the knowledge of Market Profile?, you are trading blind. Market Profile? will open your trading vision to understand the bigger picture...
