UP / Down Vol

Many of you guys have the WAV_Vol_3 variety of code. This code helps us see the up / down volume within each bar. How accurate are these numbers? I heard of TradeStation manipulating data so that it could be efficient and I was hoping that at the end of the day that the volume data is either dead on or close to it. Any thoughts?

Re: UP / Down Vol

flatwallet : it is a good indicator, we made some adjustments and called volume delta ... it works very good and must be used together with other technical tools. cheers Walter.

Re: UP / Down Vol

we took out the visual noise of the average and the mid level of each histogram.... simple modification but made it much easier to read... from there on we started to program a lot of combinations, as with ttm trend, at or not at key levels, smoothed version, oscillator version, cumulative oscillator version, etc etc... I even have some versions did not publish here so my fellow traders will not go nuts.... but the overrall analisis is delta... cheers Walter.
