Hello all,

I have received a notice from a trading vendor regarding trademark violations on our boards. I deleted and edited a few posts. I would like to point out that I will need to be monitoring a little more carefully regarding indicators or threads that use trademarks in violation. Please also help by restricting any comments made that may be in violation of a trademark issue or could cause vendors a problem. Thank you.

Looks like one of those vendors who day trade the markets was caught with their pants down in public recently.

Seems they placed an 8-hour video of a recent seminar given to their trading room members in a publicly accessible area.

You didn't have to be a member of their site to view the material or find it on their website either.

Guess they took the easy way out instead of cleaning up the sloppy work of their own operation in the first place.

Shameful - truly shameful.

Can you give an example of what exactly was wrong so we know what not to do?

Well I cant give out exact info, but I understand that some vendors would prefer if our board does not openly disclose replicates of indicators using their registered name. Since none of the indicators actually reflect the originals as they are all custom coded to mimic specific indicators, I figured it would not be a problem. However, I have received a message of concern and would like to respect that. In any case, if I notice anything I will simple omit the vendor name and apply it as "custom". I want to keep it under control before it gets out of hand... the last thing I want is for this site to run into legal problems that can take this place down. The value added here from an educational perspective is amazing that I just want to becareful so we have this site up and running for as long as traders wish.
