Hello all,

For those of you experiencing slow loading time on the forums, I had this designed for mainly Opera and Firefox. We are working on a php coding version to pull up the threads which will hopefully load the site alot faster. Also with the design, I am still debating on what to do so this will have to get planned over the weekend. I hope traders had a wild week and enjoy the weekend.

Re: Site Loading, Design, etc...

James - I am using FF as well. Hopefully the format change will load that first page quicker.

Re: Site Loading, Design, etc...

James, did you say the site was being loaded by java in a thread? Either way, I'm sure php will be much more effecient.

If it is java, brownsfan019 maybe it would load faster if you update your java package. I'm using a pretty fresh install of xp and just updated java 2 months ago. Thats a long shot though as I'm not sure if that would matter from the client side.

For me, even with IE the site load time would not be an issue. I'm not sure whats slowing you up there.

I use FF and have no complaints (other than having Vista-but that's not your fault! lol).

My initial designer is no longer with us so I hired a second designer. From what he's told me the threads on the main forum page uses java. He is currently writing the layout codes (i think some other stuff too) and changing it to php as well as making some of the colors darker and more professional. Itll take a few days for it to get done. Thanks

Re: Site Loading, Design, etc...

James- I still can't figure out what the yellow, pink and gray colors are supposed to mean for the thread titles. At the bottom of the category page, it says pink means poplular, yellow means new, and grey means ??. I understand new, if the thread was just posted, but what is poplular and gray.

hi Jerry, i deleted the posted color.

Popular is simply any thread with more than 20 replies. Grey means nothing...its a default color. Yellow just means it was posted recently. Notice the new colors? I tried to make it easier to see by using a blu-ish greyish background instead of the white. Also recoded the main forum page so should be faster.
