Re: Three Pervasive Myths in the Trading World
Brett says amazing things in ways one wouldn't normally think. This article, along with his book Psychology of Trading, are amazing. He really and truly "gets" trading. Amazing stuff.

Re: Three Pervasive Myths in the Trading World
Anyone knows his work compared to Elder or Mark Douglas? Any difference at all?

Re: Three Pervasive Myths in the Trading World
The things he puts forward are certainly things covered by both of those guys, torero, but Brett seems to put things into different ways of thinking. Tough to explain for me...but if you read a little bit of Psychology of Trading, you'll know exactly what I'm trying to say

Re: Three Pervasive Myths in the Trading World
* Finding a Niche – Identifying a performance field that takes maximum advantage of your skills, talents, and interests; * Deliberative Practice – Rehearsing skills in increasingly realistic settings to prepare for the challenges of actual performance; * Constant Feedback – Intensive review of performance to identify strengths and weaknesses, so that you can capitalize on the former and address the latter.

Re: Three Pervasive Myths in the Trading World
I received "Enhancing Trader Performance" a couple of days ago and am about half way through it. It is excellent thus far. Different than anything else I've read before, i.e. no overlap. IMO, it looks like it's a trading book destined to be a classic - very insightful and based on research.

Re: Three Pervasive Myths in the Trading World
I'm with Ant, I just finished the Steenbarger book and it's very insightful, although I'd say it focuses mostly on the day trader, its principles are equally applicable to any trader.
