VSA Recommended Resources
I guess after Joel's presentation, I got a little more interested in the VSA thing. It appears that it could compliment my candlestick trading (at least at this point).
I was hoping our seasoned VSA'ers could post links to books, blogs, websites, etc. that deal with VSA. As someone looking in, VSA can be intimidating at first, so any resources would be welcomed. Thanks! |

Re: VSA Recommended Resources
A good start is the Master the Markets book from Tradeguider.
A free, printable PDF file of the book is here. There are other resources - and will post those too but this is a good start. And BF - this thread here is fantastic. |

Re: VSA Recommended Resources
I think the Master the Markets book and the VSA thread here on TL are the best way to get started with VSA.
There are threads elsewhere, notably by posters dbphoenix and VSATrader (Seb Manby, who also posts to the VSA thread here at TL - check out his recordings) that are also very good material. TradeGuider, of course, is the starting point for many with VSA. Visit their website and get on the list for their "Chart of the Week" presentations - their is usually some good points/learning in these. They also do extended presentations that you can go to live (occasionally live trading too); some of these presentations will be archived on their site - also worth studying. If you want to study more, then move on to Wyckoff analysis, studying this will shed more light on VSA too. |

Re: VSA Recommended Resources
dbpheonix posted a ton of great stuff over here:
http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showth...6&pagenumber=1 BrownsFan should enjoy it as he incorporates candles with VSA. |

Re: VSA Recommended Resources
When searching about Joel this is one of the only tangible things I could come up with. Don't know if it will be helpful after you've just had a webinar with him but here it is. Doesn't seem to be copywrited so I hope it's ok to Post.
James please take it down if it violates something. |

Re: VSA Recommended Resources
Joel was kind enough to recommend these particular books to me via PM. I hope he doesn't mind if I post them here. (note - some of these appear out of print, so I just found any links I could to save everyone some time).
(It appears there's just different spellings used and/or paper back vs. hardcover). WALL STREET JUNGLE BY NEY LINKS ON AMAZON: LINK #1 LINK #2 WALL STREET GANG BY NEY LINKS ON AMAZON: LINK #1 LINK #2 LINK #3 STOCK MARKET TECHNIQUE BY WYCKOFF LINKS ON AMAZON: NUMBER 1 NUMBER 2 NUMBER 3 > Those are three SEPARATE books, volume 1, 2 and 3. MASTER THE MARKETS BY TOM WILLIAMS (LINK TO HIS DIRECT SITE): LINK I think these are what Joel recommended. His PM to me was a bit cryptic in terms of deciphering the exact recommendations. I did my best using Amazon. If there's a correction or addition/subtraction needed, someone let me know. Thanks! |

Re: VSA Recommended Resources
Since we know that things on the internet can get pulled w/o notice, I took some screenshots and such from the thread for anyone interested. The file size was large, so I uploaded off of TL. Link: http://www.megafileupload.com/en/fil...om-et-zip.html To download from there... ![]() If James feels like tearing it apart and posting here somehow, that'd be nice. I just didn't feel like uploading each of these individually. |
