Broker/Tool for Technical Indicators

IB is my broker but I don't have much options to exploit the crucial technical indicators like TICK TRIN charts and market profile trading for indraday. When I see most of the charts and postings by SoulTrader , it seems Tradestation is the best place to take advantage of rich set of technical indicators. Though I wanted to experiment trading ideas from traderslaboratory I don't have any tool in hand to proceed. So most profile traders here have account in Tradestation? Or How do you manage for TICK TRIN, pivot points etc.,?

Sudha,

You can get TRIN, TICK charts through IB's charts. "TICK-NYSE" TRIN-NYSE" on the TWS quotescreen. Just size the charts down and draw a "zero" line for the TICK.

As far as charting you can subscribe to a charting program like SierraCharts or Investor R/T if you dont like IB's stuff.

A free charting program for IB customers is www.Ibcharts.com

No, you don't need (or want IMO as a non-US centric trade) to go to Tradestation.

If you get Sierra Chart then you can get excellent Market Profile charts from your IB data. It will also let you plot your pivots, tick trin etc as prettily as you might want.

SC is at Sierra Chart - Financial Market Charting and Trading Software and heres an example (with some extra scribbles) of SC market profile charts
