I think you're using the old contract, today is rollover so few previous days before rollover, traders move to the leading contract, December. Check ER2Z07 (if using Tradestation).

New contract is just fine.......just entered a Long at 781.20 and there was decent liquidity.

Covered 1/3'rd at 782.20, covered 1/3'rd at 782.70.....trailing stop on the last 1/3'rd of my position.

I am sure as the day progresses we will see the volume increase on the new contract.


*Update...trailing stop hit at 781.70 for + 5 ticks...flat now.

What pivot numbers do you guys use for rollover day? I notice on the ES at least there is still significant volume on the old contract. Would you combine the volume for a more accurate picture?

Not sure....I use market profile to determine s/r levels...I do not follow pivots.

Fulcrum, who do you use for MP?

Well I learned MP about two years ago and I look at what levels will be prominent for the trade day ahead prior to the open. I use a custom application to track MP for each futures contract that I trade. You should be able to get MP capabilities from several of the charting companies out these days.

I think there may be MP code in the TS forums...check it out.
