What do you buy on ER2 ... newbie Question

Hi,
I m totally new to trading. my question is

1) What exactly you buy, when you buy 1 contract on ER2 (emini russell) presently at 850.3. i mean crude contract, wheat, rice, etc...

2) how much money you need to buy 1 contract on ER2 without any broker leverage.

Russell 2000 is a composite of 2000 small companies (similar to the S&P 400 small cap). There is also an index in addition to the emini. You'll need about 3350$ minimum to trade but more if you don't want margin call (nowadays, the platform just exit the trade for you immediately).
