Trading the GLOBEX 6C(CAD/USD)

INTRO:
I am a full time trader now with a background in marketing and sales. I have been studying the futures markets for 6-7 years and now specialize in the Globex 6C CAD/USD. On a casual basis I manage a stock portfolio for a neighbor but have no personal interest in the stock market.

I have settled on IB as my broker and their TradersWorkstation platform and data feeds (stocks; futures; and forex). I also use the IB Charts program for some technical analysis.

My main analysis tool and charting program is Corel Quattro Pro (and suspect that I am the only one) and use several versions. It lacks finesse but I have 20yr investment into it so may be a bit stuck on it. I manually program it to produce daily signals.

I'm interested in discussing the challenge of mining the data for our dollars and learning to hone my trade. I am particularly interested in talking with those who trade the Globex 6C or even the Forex CAD/USD pair.
...and for heavens' sake, if you are still using Quattro for trading please drop me a line.

Re: Trading the GLOBEX 6C(CAD/USD)

I was always was fond of Borland products. Quatro theres a blast from the past!
I only once did a small data mining project (once (how often did price come withing xx ticks of the floor trader pivot on a daily basis). I used Excel. Where xx was equal to 4 I believe it was 68% of the time for those interested.

It is an area I would like to learn more about ( as are a few others if a previous thread is anything to go by). http://www.traderslaboratory.com/for...tion-1966.html

I'd certainly be interested in what you are doing and more importantly how you actually go about the process.

Cheers
