A US holiday when the biggest market moving data of the month is released.

Non farm payrolls!

The markets should still move, maybe more so because of thinner volume.

Re: Friday, April 6th is a US holiday

What are general market trading times in the US for contracts such as YM or ER2?

I'm just trialing a new platform and its default is set to 12 am open to 12am close and I'm not sure whether I input the opening / closing time according to the official market open in my time zone or US time zone.

Re: Friday, April 6th is a US holiday

morning session: 9:30am to around 11:00am

The markets usually die out during the lunch hours and then it picks up again around 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

RTH - regular trading hours for the US futures indices is 9:30am - 4:15pm EST (Eastern Standard Time - US), with the cash closing 15mins earlier at 4pm EST.
