Available Futures Markets

Hi Tom,

Is there a list of futures markets that are available to be traded through Infinity?

If there isn't a definitive list, would be able to provide an answer for:

SGX (Nikkei, Taiwan, Singapore)
OSE
Japanese Government Bonds
Hang Seng
Kospi Futures
Australian Sydney Futures Exchange (SNFE) - SPI Futures

Thanks, appreciate the time.

Hi smwinc,

Infinity is an independent Introducing Broker and as such we have access to every futures market in the world via MFGlobal, RCG, Vision and several other FCMs. Unfortunately the electronic access into these exchanges is limited.

Infinity AT provides electronic Futures access to CME / CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX, and USFE.

Let me know what you are looking at and I will see what I can do for you.

Best regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,

I don't understand your reply. All those markets listed by the original poster have electronic futures.....Could you be more specific on what you mean? Residing in Asia, I would like an alternative other than Interactive Brokers for the Asian markets.

My best regards,
MK

Re: Available Futures Markets

Yes. There is a long history of brokers saying "yes, we can do this" or "its coming next month" followed by an equally long history of disappointed potential customers. The other one is "yes, we can do this" followed by "and it will only cost you an arm and two legs."

If I was Interactive Brokers I would say "yes you can for all of those markets and you will find our prices competitive with anything out there." Although I would have to say also "we never did resolve midknight's issue where the unbundled price is higher for the yen markets."

Re: Available Futures Markets

LOL kiwi - yes that is an old bone...its been like that for so long that I had forgotten about it until you brought it up. Thanks

I have searched with many brokers in the past on the topic of Asian markets. Most of them just don't answer my emails. Straight to the ignore list. I will be interested to see what information Tom will present.

Take care Kiwi.

My best regards,
MK

Re: Available Futures Markets

There are two ways to access Futures markets.

One is the order desk route, which requires placing an order either via phone or electronic gateway to an order desk. The order desk then manually places the order to the trading floor, or electronic market. When I said I can give you access to any market I was speaking of this procedure via MFGlobal or RCG. Order placement using this procedure can be both inconvenient and expensive.

The other way is obviously what you want, direct electronic access. I am currently unable to provide direct electronic access to the Asian Markets. Believe me I have had many requests and have looked

The electronic markets I can provide direct electronic access include CME/CBOT, Comex, Nymex, Life, Eurex, USFE.

I hope this helps clarify my previous post.

Best regards,

Tom

Re: Available Futures Markets

Hi Tom,

There is one FCM I know of which can provide access to the Asian markets which is Newedge or formerly Calyon/Fimat.

Not sure how Infinity handles relationships with FCM's... is this based on client demand ? Thanks

Hi James,

I will take a closer look at Newedge - Thanks.

Customer demand definitely plays a part. Let me look into this a bit further and get back to you.

Best regards,

Tom

Tom,

Asides from the DAX, which European bourses' indices does Infinity/Transact AT also have on its platform?
