Wow! Really? I have to take a look again CME specs. Thanks for pointing that out. I thought the margin was the same, you're talking about 16k per contract right?

Wrong.

We're talking about the e-mini EMD contract, not the large one.

$3,750 is your overnight margin, which is comparable to the other e-mini official performance bond requirements.

Check your facts at the CME website here:

Re: Russell`s Fate ?

That's a darn shame. I used to trade the ER2 but I switched to YM. I had my sights set on going back someday.

Re: Russell`s Fate ?

Ok, thanks for the clarification, cooter. That was what I thought, maybe I wasn't clear in mentioning it was mini-EMD, and wasn't aware there was a large size EMD.

Russell Replacement

Dear Traders,

On Monday October 22, CME will be introducing futures on the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. A couple of brief items for your review.

* Attached are two pdf files. One contains a 1 page term sheet with the basics. The second contains the brochure for the product with additional information such as countries in the index and the top components and additional details/contract highlights.
* Volatility in MSCI's Emerging Market Index is substantially higher than most other major broad based indexes including the S&P 500 and MSCI EAFE. Hence trading opportunities should be numerous.
* CME exchange listed margin is expected to be $4,600. Infinity AT daytrade margin will be $500. Market will trade on Globex virtually 24 Hours a day.
Attached Files
File Type: pdf EQ-135_MSCI_emBro_ElectronicFINAL.pdf (404.1 KB, 12 views)
File Type: pdf msci_em termsheet20070925.pdf (50.4 KB, 9 views)
