Re: Bollinger Band Shading in Tradestation

go to Format Study,
you will see that I have entered the description of the 2 plots as "bar high" and "bar low".

(mine is MultiCharts, tradestation should be the same.)

Re: Bollinger Band Shading in Tradestation

Bingo! Now a new issue. How would I send the shading to the background? It is blocking out the high low close bars

Re: Bollinger Band Shading in Tradestation

I don't think you can control the drawing order in tradestation, you'd have to redraw the candlesticks after BB bars.

Re: Bollinger Band Shading in Tradestation

TS doesn't have visual order like MC. One of the archaic things about the platform that really shows its age.

and …
“You can have as many sets of barhi/barlo as you like, as long as the barhi preceeds its barlo. And plot1 is on top of plot2 which is on top of plot3, etc. And the first indicator applied is on top of the second, which is on top of the third...

Personally, I think shading is a really neat thing. It is much more logical for some sorts of things than lines or dots. I keep asking/hoping that TS will give us more tools to make it work better, e.g., fill between lines.”
