I wanted to get down something I have learnt over my two and a half years of trading. It is the subject of trading tools, plans and generally other traders. I don’t find myself posting much on this forum or others because I find myself rarely in disagreement with others nor do I feel my way of trading is the way others should trade.

When I first began trading I was of the belief that the system made the results. I don’t frown upon myself or anyone else for believing that as many “guru’s”...

Here is my journal from the 25th July:

Today we have the new home sales at 10am so I will remain cautious around that time. Right now we look like we will open around the 1256 area so it will be interesting to see which way we swing at the open.

We could drop from up there pretty much right away so I may test a short trade should we do that. Otherwise I'll be looking for the weakness to hit at 1263. I'm not confident in any long trades here beneath 1264. Right now...

Now we have a bit of a patience game over the next week or so. If we pick up on the acceleration of selling here we may go to new lows. That would fit my initial thoughts...

We have important news! Today is the first day this week where we have important news during the trading day. We have the Existing Home Sales at 10am so I will be cautious around that period.

Right now we are at the 1281.50 area and I didn't put in an option for that. Reason being that I don't particularly want to trade inbetween the 1286 resistance and the 1278 support. It is messy up there with the EMA's and such. Therefore...
